Hey I think we should be allowed like a $10 allowance for the July Challenge...what do you guys think?

Umm, well...it's kinda too late.
I was in Walgreens and couldn't help myself. I spent $4.99.
I know I'm not a very good leader, but it's a long story.

Oooooooo I'm not sure about that one...I'm on the challenge (first timer) and think this should really be a challenge in every sense of the word. The $10 makes it easier to deal with which a challenge isn't or shouldn't be.
I think if there's a staple product that you always use repeatedly and genuinely ran out of it then I think that's the only exception to getting something during the month as its something you only/always use anyway and its not a new purchase.
Just my 2 cents!

BRH, I totally deserved that. How am I gonna start the July Challenge and then slip up not even a whole 3 days later. I started not to say anything, but the guilt was eating me up inside!!!! I had to come clean!!!!

Ok, see what had happened was.....
I got a touch-up today and my stylist used that Biosilk Silk Therapy on my hair. My hair was sooooo soft and silky, but Trade Secret was sold out of it, plus it was rather expensive.
I had to stop at Walgreens on my way home to pick up a frozen pizza. Of course, I couldn't resist walking down the haircare aisle. I was thinking about QP Glaze, but that was also sold out. The next best thing was the Fantasia Ice Pomade...I read the ingredients..it contains Aloe, Wheat Protein and Biotin...I opened it up and smelled it and ooooh, it smells sooo good! End of story....
The bad part is...I got it home and tried it and it can't hold a candle to the Biosilk. Oh well...that's what I get..
Lesson learned...avoid any haircare aisles until after July 31st.

It's tough, I know. I was at the mall yesterday shoe shopping and it took ALL of my energy not to go into Trade Secret and get some Biolage Leave-In Tonic. It's like my last hope for a leave-in.
But, I learned something from Allandra. Make a list of all the things you want to try. That way at least you won't forget when you do decide to go on a hair product spree.

That's great advice Supergirl! Avoiding the temptation is the key....at least for me... Avoiding hair product aisles, websites, salons...any place that sells hair stuff!

I do the same thing. I make a list of all the recommeneded products and just wait. After a month or so if I still want it then I buy it. My list are a lot longer than my purchases. God bless you all.

Eh hem **clearing throat*** someone talked me into buying LeKair Cholesterol Plus... $2.99, but other than that..I'm still on it...the Fantasia pomade went back to the store. I guess I'm not strong enough to do it cold turkey. I'm still in favor of the $10 allowance....
