Just found out that we're giving my aunt a surprise party TOMORROW! Why folks gotta tell me stuff at the last minute? It looks like I'll spend my Friday either twisting my hair or searching through Youtube vids for a cute stye tutorial.

Tomorrow (6th-Friday)......
I am going to the salon after not stepping foot in once since February
I am getting a wash, DC, flatironed, and trim/shap.

I just realized that I have not had a PT in over a month 0_o. Saturday I will wash my hair, PT, do a moisturizing DC & prob throw in some braids for a braidout.

I've already deep conditioned my hair ahead of schedule (working on my procrastination), so I will be flat ironing with my Sedu for the first time.

I'm so excited! I hope it lives up to it's great reviews.

Have a great weekend ladies!!

Poo wash on sunday (maybe, as it's been 2 weeks)

Steam my DC in on Saturday (I've only been managing 1 steam session instead of 2 on the weekends lately).

Brew a fresh batch of tea for rinsing and portion out my large container of Aloe vera juice for rinsing:yep:

@ZebraPrintLover - I would love to see you post about your salon experience if you have time to do so. I'm always interested in reading a person's experience at the salon, especially if they rarely go. I haven't been in more than 5 years.. I'm a DIYer and sometimes I'm tempted.

@MotionThickness - I have a sedu and I love love love it. I use it at about 160-180. Anything higher than that is too hot. I have the 1.5 inch and the 1 inch. The 1 inch is too much for my hair I guess, but the 1.5 inch is part of the reason that my hair made it to mid back length. I hope you love yours!

I am planning to put Mane & Tail conditioner on my hair today. Put it in a bun, sleep on it and then rinse it out thoroughly and shampoo and condition my hair with heat. I will use Mizani Moisture Conditioner which works GREAT with heat. Then I will use the tension method to blow dry (after detangling and adding a bit of leave in conditioner and Chi serum).

Then I will use my Sedu on the lowest heat setting that gets my hair straight and straighten it. If I'm not doing anything Sat night, then I will roll it and wear it really cute Sunday until wash day.

I love hair! I love healthy hair!

Yesterday made wk 2 in my cornrows.
2 down-4 to go.
This weekend will be the regular- Moisturizing and sealing.
Sunday will prepoo my braids w/ an oil, shampoo my scalp and cowash

This weekend I will be dusting. I plan to:

Pre-poo with coconut oil (maybe)
Bentonite clay detox
Rhassoul clay treatment - coconut milk, aloe vera juice, burdock root/marshmallow root/yucca root tea :lick:
OR
Amla/Brahmi paste
Rinse thoroughly in warm water
Apply leave in and moisturizers to wet hair
Style - all this talk about mini twists has got me thinking (-PYT and NappyNelle). We'll see.

I plan to clarify and DC overnight with Rosa Mosqueta.

I'm only doing this because I do not want to twist my hair until morning. The combo of too much glycerin in my spritz and using the ORS has my hair up in arms today, so I'm going to get all of this out of my hair, lol. I do, however, want to go to the BSS and see if there is something else I can use to give my hair the true moisture I crave! I can tell when my hair is moisturized well because it moves freely. Right now, I have that dry, stiff thing happening...

I also may do some search and destroy sessions...I found a couple of split ends and some knots today... :nono:

Sorry if I made this a Random Thoughts entry...

Self relaxing tomorrow...uugghh

Party at SuchMagnificance house, heyyyyy!

lana, I will make a thread and tag you in it! She does awesome work and I havent seen one bad head that she has done, so I know its going to be good.

Thank you so much for responding. I have the 1.5 inch iron as well. I noticed when I tried testing the heat settings, 100-200 degrees seems just as hot as some flat iron's 400! I will definitely be cautious when using it for those reasons.

Can't wait to flat iron today!

I am going to do an overnight with OCT since I need protein. I'll wash in the morning and DC with either MD Vanilla Repair or BV Smoothie. There will be a tea rinse in there somewhere.

My leave in will be Claudie's Tea spritz under her Moisturizing Quinoa Coffee creme. Sealed with her Vere oil.

Nothing :) I'm rocking bantus for the last 3 + days and i'm not releasing them until this heat wave is over on the 9th! My scalp needs to breathe in this type of weather.
