July 2016 What Did You Buy This Week? Hair Care Edition

I posted this in the HQS thread, but thought I'd put it over here as well.

Hydroquench Systems Order Update:

I texted Bianca today about our products at 12:50pm and she responded at 1.31pm. I told her that I wasn't very fond of being ignored as a customer and that she should at least try to answer her customers queries even if she says products will ship in 2 weeks, 3 weeks, just say something! Don't just ignore us because doing so only hurts her business. I told her we want to support her but she has to meet us halfway.

Could you believe it but she actually called me back. Naturally I was shocked because I wasn't actually expecting a response.

I asked her about the shipping timeline of our products and that there was a major concern on the forum in regards to it. She indicated that she will be shipping out products this weekend and that she had suffered a nervous breakdown which she will tell us all about soon.

Well we will see how this goes. I will give her a little more time now that she actually called me back.

I received my DCs from Claudie's with no indication (note or sticker) if the conditioners was modified as I requested. The labels have coconut oil listed which I'm not surprised (didn't expect her to change her label for me). I did email her about the issue and just waiting to see if she responds back.

@ms.blue
I'm sure she left it out. Keep me posted.

I mean this without the least bit of malice. Why do a lot of small vendors have major issues but leave their websites up and running?

I had a different question - why does it seem as if small business owners of handcrafted hair products are the most frail species on the planet? They seem to get sick often, particularly during the shipping process.

@Bibliophile

That's one of my Favs:drool:

:cup:All Curl Junkie conditioners are very well formulated. I tried the Beauticurls Argan & Olive circa 2009-10 when it was new.
It's a protein, glycerin & silicone free, slippery, penetrating, moisturizing multipurpose conditioner. Plus it's available in a bulk size. Tresemmé Naturals became HG only due to price. I'm revisiting this since TN is discontinued.

@PJaye @IDareT'sHair

You ladies are so funny :lol:.

But they tell no lies.

It takes me a while to try new vendors. I've had a Jakeala cart sitting there for a while. So long, I had stuff saved for later and didn't know until I went to order yesterday. It takes me a looong time because I follow threads and feedback.

One vendor who I feel has the best service is Bobeum. She spoiled me bad and DH still bugs me to buy her soaps til this day.

Don't do that to me. You know I'm weak. You know I'll like it. You know I'll suck a few people in and then you know I'll be sent to the corner.

*off to Amazon*

I agree on all those points as well. I tried her shampoo bars early on in my hair journey and didn't know a thing about what I needed. She recommended a few of the shampoo bars and ended up giving me free samples of the shampoo bars that I didn't order, which was quite generous.

As long as she's making something, I'm going to support her.

@meka72
Isn't she just "the best"? :drunk:

Her Products are Affordable. Her Discounts are good. Her Shipping is Reasonable.

And she's just as nice as can be!

Whoa, I haven't used this in years but I remember it leaving my relaxed hair really touchably soft:yep:.

Where are you buying yours from @JerriBlank?

Well my natural hair feels similar! It was perfect on relaxed hair, and I know that my for needs protein, but wheat protein sucks for my hair. I need to buy a few at a time after this though, so I'm looking for other sellers. Ebay might be ok, not sure yet.
