So I've decided to jump ship and get some commercial lines after reading all the threads that you ladies are RAVING about joico! Which line are you all using and what specific products? I'm going to do a haul hopefully Monday or Tuesday...Thanks for your input!

I definitely use and love the K-Pak line. I use the moisture intense hydrator. I also have the 17-minute miracle package ready to go as soon as I deplete my other products.

I just purchased the Moisture Recovery Balm to try out as well.

Joico Moisture Recovery
Joico Kpak Hydration (cant remember the name Exactly)
Joico Moisture Recovery balm

I have the Joico k-pak...in the big bottle.

I'm going to purchase this moisture recovery balm soon though.

I would recommend for moisturizing conditioners: Moisture Recovery (blue bottles) Treatment Balm & K-Pak (brown bottles) Intense Hydrator

They are both verrrrry good. The K-pak one has protein in it too, I think. I'm 4B Natural and they both make my hair soft.

My hair LOVES the moisture intense hydrator. I also have the shampoo & reconstructor in 1 liter bottles. I lucked up and found a double pack of Intense Hydrator + Deep Penetrating Reconstructor at Ulta for $6.99 :drunk:

I use mostly the moisture recovery line but I use the K-pak line as well

Moisture Recovery balm (I use this every week for my DC. A-MA-ZING!!!)
Moisture recovery conditioner and shampoo
K-pak reconstructor
K-pak shampoo

I refuse to stray too far from Joico.

I have been using Joico's MRB for about 2 years now. Two days ago was the first time I used it without heat or steam for only 20 minutes (I normally do 1 hour), and it was still AWESOME!!

My hair felt like butter. It was supa dupa soft and slippery after rinsing.

OT: What's the difference between using the Kpak Reconstruct Shampoo/Condish (brown bottles) vs. using Kpak Deep Penetrating Reconstructer? All are proteins, right? Is it just that the Deep Penetrating Reconstructer is a stronger form of protein?

Where to purchase the 17min miracle? I've checked Ulta & Trade Secret but can't locate it.

The K-Pak 17-min miracle is a pre-packaged box of Chelating shampoo, Cuticle Sealer (similar to Roux Porosity Control), Moisture Intense Hydrator and Deep Penetrating Reconstructer. Its kinda difficult to find as a package - so I listed all the components so you can make it up on your own.

ETA: I had to check the website, K-Pak has a daily shampoo/conditioner for daily use. I had to hunt because some of their discontinued products are still available for sale around the internet. The Deep Penetrating Reconstructer is more for weekly use as a DC. Same with their Moisture Intense Hydrator.

From Joico's website:

Joico shampoo, conditioner and other hair care products are the culmination of over three decades of scientific research into reconstructing damage to hair resulting from chemical treatments, drying, age and heredity.

Based on the Human Hair Keratin Protein complex including 19 amino acids across a broad range of molecular sizes, Joico's Quadramine Complex is the vital component in all of its conditioner products that helps to repair and reconstruct damaged hair. Joico's exclusive scientific formulations repair hair from the cuticle to the cortex, restoring the hair's vibrant natural health and beauty.

Joico offers a diverse line of shampoo and conditioner systems to address the unique hair health needs of every individual. Professional stylists can find the right conditioner for each client's hair, to repair damage and restore the hair's healthy natural body and sheen.

The Joico DAILY CARE conditioner line promotes optimum maintenance of healthy hair, preserving vital moisture, maintaining inner strength and keeping hair looking healthy and shining.

K-PAK is the ultimate product line for repairing, strengthening and protecting damaged hair. Combining the Quadramine Complex with the Keratin Silicone Complex and the Hair Protection System, this line of conditioner and shampoo products is scientifically formulated to treat hair damaged by thermal styling, chemical treatment and the external environment.

The MOISTURE RECOVERY line blends moisture-loving ingredients from the world's oceans, including algae, kelp and other minerals to quench hair that has been overly dried due to styling treatments or dry climates.

The SILK RESULT line uses a blend of silk surfactants, Silk Amino Acids and proteins in a scientifically advanced shampoo and conditioner system for people who want to have soft, silky hair no matter what their natural hair texture may be.

BODY LUXE shampoo and conditioner products use Joico's exclusive Oat Protein Complex to add thickness to individual hair strands without added weight, resulting in sumptuously thick, full-bodied hair.

The COLOR ENDURE line uses a three-phase Multi-Spectrum Defense Complex to increase the longevity and integrity of hair color.

The RE:NU shampoo and conditioner line is scientifically formulated to manage the effects of natural graying.

Some Joico Prods in my Stash is (in no particular order):

Joico Chelating Shampoo (I recently switched back to No-Lye Relaxers)
K-Pak Reconstructor Conditioner
K-Pak Intense Hydration Conditioner
Silk Results for Dry & Coarse Hair Conditioner
Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm

Joico is a Great Line!

I love the K-Pak line and the Moisture Recovery line. The Treatment Balm is one of the best DCs I've ever tried. I can't wait to try the Silk Results line.

I love their products. In fact, I usually snag the big 33 oz bottles for about $15. I don't like the smell of the kpak products, but they work almost instantly. I prefer the moisture recovery line. I love using the conditioner as a leave in. People always compliment me on my "perfume" when I use it. But here is a tip: Aussie Sydney smooth smells and feels on the hair just like the moisture recovery conditioner. Don't know if they have the same ingredients, but they are very similar. In fact, whenever I wash my hair, I prepoo with the kpak for 20 minutes, then wash and detangle with Aussie then final rinse with the MR. That way, I can stretch my more expensive products.

Speaking of Joico, they have a new blowdryer out, it's claim is that it's keratin infused, what are your thoughts on this?

I just used the moisture recovery balm after reading reviews on this site and I LOVE it. Best deep conditioner I've ever used, beating out my old favorite jessicurl wdt. My hair is softer than usual and smooth, feels very moisturized even four days post-roller-set when it usually starts to feel dry.

I keep reading excellent things about Joico so I guess I'm gonna have to try it.
Is Ulta cheaper than Amazon? Does it go on sale? Anyone with thin hair try the Body Luxe line?

Joico- really a superior product. I just ordered the treatment balm and I can't wait until this weekend for a DC with it.

Ulta CAN BE cheaper than Amazon. If you go regularly, join their rewards program. You can get a coupon on a monthly basis and notice of any sales. In January they generally have a nice sale on Joico products in the one liter size (this year it was $12-15).

However, you can't compare Ulta's prices without going into the store as they won't post their prices on their website.
