My mother didn't let me wear "non 6 pack draws" until I graduated from highschool.:nono: (left the house)

So embarassing! But I agree, little girls should be wearing "draws" not panties.

They still sell underoos....Thanking the Lord AGAIN, that I have boys.
FYI:
They still sell the packs(granny panties) at walmart and target. Even though I hate that name. Why do I have to be a granny cause I like to keep all this wagon I am draggin covered....:ohwell:

:lachen::lachen::lachen:

Okay!

Shoot, I'm grown and have a hard time finding regular panties at some places.

Everything is g-string, thong, material that doesn't let your stuff breathe.

I'm like where the hell are the plain ole cotton granny panties?! :lachen:

Believe it or not, I find that Victoria's Secret has some of the best selections of plain ole cotton panties... they're so comfortable and they don't all come in thong/g-string design!

Even though they have a sexy woman modeling them, those shole is some granny panties!

What a blast from the past! I used to lurvvvvvvvvvvvve my Underoos. You couldn't tell me that I wasn't Wonder Woman. :lachen:

I had those too, but they created another problem. When I was in kindergarten, I guess I didn't realize that those Wonder Woman underroos still were underwear... I went around school ALL DAY lifting my shirt up during play time to tell the others that I was WONDER WOMAN!

My mom had to have a little talk with me... ;)

Hilarious!

yea what ever happened to those tank top sets:rolleyes:
its sad that they still sell them in the womens department but not the little girls:wallbash:

Yeah I noticed this now that I have a daughter whose only 6 but they have bikini cut and thong underwear in her size :look: I dont think so. She's wearing briefs with princesses and Dora the Explorer for as long as I buy them.

No you are not trippin'. Those garments are just like grown ladies' lingerie. Now way would I buy that stuff for my little girl.

Thank god I can sew a bit. I can whip up something modest for my little girl for dirt cheap and keep her looking like a little girl, not somebody in a smut rag.

"non-6 pack draws" :lachen:

I wore non 6-pack draws in middle school. But, I never saw it as making me a sexy person just because I wore cure drawls. In fact, I was a PRUDE by my own choosing in middle school and elementary and much of HS (til the end :spinning:)

But, I just thought the draws were cute...not that I was sexy for wearing them. But, now-days, I guess we have to watch that with all the sex and stuff on tv and in the movies and music.

That's one of the main reasons I sew too.

What the hell! Ain't know why my 5 year old wearing that ish. Why do there have to be words and rhinestones on them. Ain't know body seeing her panties but me.

Side note may be to the 10th degree. Suppose these families that buy this ish have husbands that do clothes washing. He drying the clothes and than comes to you with a pair of those panties in his hands talking all sexy asking when did you get them. Talking about what he would do or something. Than the woman tells him "There your daughters" Thats just sick to me.

No thank you plain white granny panties for my baby. I don't like hipsters either.

My DH does the laundry. If he sees a nightie he will ask "when did you have this on" So it could happen.

*Praises the Lord my daughter is a "late bloomer" Who ever thought that 10 years old would be considered a late bloomer?:nono: She has cousins 1 & 2 years younger than her that already have "boyfriends" and I have friends who have kids her age going gaga over the Jonas Brothers. I blame cable TV! That's why I refuse to get it:nono::lol:

Wow! they're doing waaaaay to much! (and this is coming from an 18 yr old) I had no clue vickie secrets made undergarments for girls. I have a 10 yr old sis and would snatch her up quick if I saw her in some of those! I wasn't wearing stuff like that until I hit high school honestly. and even when my moms allowed me too wear items that were a little more "grown up" I still resisted. Go figure huh? I enjoy comfort over how they look any day! lol!

I don't think they're so bad. Well, the leopard print was a bit much. And the price is pretty high. I didn't see the thong, but that would be too much, too. I don't know why they need to put them on models, don't all kids underwear fit the same? I mean, they should all be briefs, not boy shorts or stuff. My panties were usually in a pack, too, but sometimes they were just as cute as some of those. Like different colors with words and pictures and stuff on them. But they were always briefs. And I had fancy ones for Easter to match my dresses. :) boys had drawers with characters on them, so did i.

:lachen: @ 'smut rag'.....

that is so sad i have a friend that has two younger sisters one is 13 and the other is 11 and they already wear THONGS! i was with her family when they were buying some i didnt know they had sizes that small. well actually they are kind of on the heavier side but i was so shocked :perplexed

Please don't stone me but I disagree. I have been wearing pretty panties since I was probably 7. I always felt like it was important for me to feel like my undergarments were nice and matched. Even now I can have on a sweat suit and be wearing lace boyshorts. Granted thongs and see through things are out of the question at a young age. I didn't get thongs until I was a senior in high school and even now I don't like to wear them b/c they are not comfortable. My mom was very strict too. I could not date until I was 16 and I didn't even have my first kiss until then either. And believe me no body is getting my goodies until they put a ring on this finger. So my point is, colors and prints aren't a big deal. Just b/c a girl is wearing granny panties that doesn't mean that will stop her from getting physicsal with a guy right. I think it's about the values that you instill.

I'll be the odd man out too. I actually don't see anything wrong with them. Definitely not thongs although I've never seen thongs in little girl sizes. I've been buying my daughter out of the pack undies, matching sets(sport bra type/panty), etc since she was about 6. I think people relate pretty panties/undergarments to sex and its not about sex, not in the kid's mind. My daughter likes them cause they're cute and sex and boys are the furthest thing from her or my mind. Likewise, she sees in the pack underwear that she thinks are cute too.

And people wonder why our kids are acting and looking so grown these days.

There is no need for thongs, hi-cut underwear, padded bras, etc. to be in the childrens' department.

I have also noticed many very young girls walking around the mall with Victoria Secret bags.
Yes, it could be a tshirt or lipgloss, but it just don't look right to me.

My daughter is going to be crying. She's fixin to keep on getting the Haines (or Fruit of the Loom) panties in the six pack bag. Plain cotton girl's underwear in pink, light blue, white and mayyyybeee light green. I'm such a mean mommy. She's lucky she got a pack of The Littlest Pet Shop underwear last time around. They were on sale for $3 for four pairs.

"Little pumpkin, aint no one but you and me gonna see your underwear!!!"

As to the animal print: Not in my daughter's underwear drawer.

Six is a mighty fine age to be and she's going to live it for all it's worth. Eighteen will come in good time. Not one minute sooner than it needs to if I have anything to say about it.

:goodpost:Well said Cichelle.:yep:

Am I the only one that thinks VS had kind gone down hill? They used to have a sexy look to most of there things but it seems like all they really have are those granny panties like that model had on. :lachen: I shop in VS for gym panties.

Plus VS sells regular cotton hoodies and PJs, slippers and stuffed pink dogs as well. It's not like Fredricks of Hollywood up in there....or maybe I just like freakier panties?

About the panties in the little girl section, I usually buy my daughter the 6packs...but she is only 3. The price alone of those panties would make me keep it moving.

Did you see the Abercromie & Fitch Catalog a few years back where they had little girls in Thongs??? goodness
