a Tuna?

A friend of mine told me that a Jamaican woman told her about something that they call "tuna" and it's hair related.

She thinks she knows all about hair, but SO DOESN'T... but still I'm interested in what she said.

She thought that I would know something about it because I'm Bajan ... My great grandmother was from Barbados... that doesn't make me Bajan, at least not Bajan enough to know this

She said it was something about putting aloe vera gel in your hair and steaming it?

Is there really something like this?

Its a cactus plant that some people used to use to wash their hair. My mom told me that it actually lathers like shampoo/soap.
