To find naturals in RI... I went to the Dwele concert in MA...and I swear at least 35% were natural...now this is only my third day rocking my fro...and I was a little antsy bout "going in public with her" ...but I saw locks, curled, dreads, natural 'fros... I SOOO felt at home...I wa slike "Oh my hair sisters!" My cousin who is relaxed just laughed... anyways I'm waiting for the picture to be sent of me and Dwele...who were rocking the SAME do!... I just wanted to share my little 'pick me up' God sent my way that night...

its always good to have some one who has gone thru or going thru things similar to you. I have 3 friends going natural and one tryin to grow her hair out with me... have your looked in the "meet up' section of the board?

Hey, just rock your fro proud! Most of my friends are relaxed. When it rains, they all run. Me, I just smile and soak it in!

I don't live your area, but I have the same experience where I live. So I can relate to being one of the few AA women rocking her natural hair. Where I live, most AA women wear weaves or short, relaxed hair. So it can be challenging at times hearing comments and getting the stares. I'm so happy to have the encouragement of my natural best friend, who lives in a different part of the state, and LHCF.
