It's really my fault. Or Hairboutique's fault. I don't know, but I wanna cry right about now. So, on like the 2nd of February, I ordered my Phyto from hairboutique.com. Put in my SHOP code and the whole nine. I was like, this gives me two weeks because I had plans to relax on the 16th. Then I found out my SO had big Valentine Day's plans, and add that to DSD and errbody hyping their Phyto lives and having sukkie smooth new tresses, so I'm like ok, bet, I'll relax asap, that way, I can join the club AND be seksie on V-Day. So it didn't come yesterday...but I'm thinking, no worries, tomorrow is a good day for a trip to the salon. So it wasn't here at 10 am, and I was getting a little paranoid. I went into my email and got the tracking number. I enter it on UPS.com, and they are saying that the package, which was delivered to Louisiana, could not be delivered because the recipient had moved. Never lived in LA (although I am retiring on the bayou, but forget that for now...not important). I'm in Georgia, yall. So, I'm fuming because I am thinking, ok, now I have to be the Black girl, AND I MIGHT not be getting relaxed today??
I send them an email, explaining what happened and that it might get ugly if'n I don't get a VERY timely response. Some Schmo Joe emails me back and tells me that they had sent me an email telling me something about my billing and shipping addresses not matching, and as such, my order had been canceled and I would get a refund. First of all, I am willing to semi-concede that there could have been an issue with my shipping and billings since I just changed my new billing address with my bank about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I seriously doubt this, though, since I have placed other orders and received them sans drama since that time. Additionally, my bank has sent me correspondence at my new address even before I ordered from hairboutique. Furthermore, after I got that email stating they needed additional info about my addresses they sent me THREE more emails regarding the shipping of the product, so I just assumed it was a glitch they straightened out (I was out of town, and came back to check my email and had about 4 or 5 from Hairboutique). I told them this, in addition to the fact that a phone call or a follow-up email might have helped me understand that my Phyto was not en route. What did NOT help was sending me an email confirming shipment, another with a tracking number, so on and so forth. Nor did it help that the money was withdrawn from my account and never replaced. I AM LIVID right now...and I'm sad...and now I have to find somewhere I can go get Phyto, but QUICK. Before Mona tracks me down in the street and kills me, not that this is NOT an indictment of Phyto, because I am still having Phyto fantasies as I type, but goodness knows someone at hairboutique is really due for a smackdown!
