Ok more questions...
Is this a result of continuous pressing? Or is one time enough to cause damage?
What about products that you use before thermal styling?
What about just using low heat?
and once again, if anyone knows of any alternatives, please post them

I know that some see looser curls or coils after a few pressings. Others like myself have lost their napps after one pressing.

I don't know if thermal products really make a difference because excessive heat can penetrate through almost anything.

Using less heat is always better for your hair but I'm not taking any more chances. I lost my napps once. I have no interest in loosing them again.

I think roller sets may be the only safe alternative.

Hopefully someone here will be able to give you more alternatives.

I would never attempt to press it myself but maybe flat iron on a low setting lol I really want to be able to switch between the two but after reading everyone's problems with getting their natural texture back, I'm like
