that can mask the scent of Rosemary oil. I have some in my daily mist and the smell is rather strong. A couple of the attorneys at my office have asked me why is it that they always seem to smell pepper when I come around

I don't want to dump my daily mist if there is another oil that I can add to quash the smell. Any suggestions?

Hmm...well, lavendar is pretty overpowering itself. I tried to make a lavender mister, and then decided I didn't want it and no matter how many times I rinsed the bottle, the scent never evaporated. Sorry that wasn't more helpful....

Thanks for replying. I'm thinking of dumping my rosemary mist...it really is too strong and I only used a couple of drops. Oh well, I think that from now on I'll stick to the jojoba and alma oil.

Kitty, check out the website below, esp the scent blending page. You could also give them a call and ask them to recommend a scent that would blend nicely w/ rosemary. Since they can send samples, get the scents they recommend and do your own experimenting with the samples and decide on one or two before paying for them. Follow their 3-2-1 drop(s) suggestions till you come up with a scent you like. Good luck

try vanilla. If vanilla can cut the scent of paint when you are paitning your house (by adding vanilla a few drops to the can of paint and stir), perhaps....bonjour

Mahalialee4, are you talking about using vanilla extract or is there some kind of vanilla essential oil?

Cindy, I am guessing she means vanilla fragrance oil, which is more concentrated than vanilla extract.

Fragrance oils are concentrated oils just like essential oils but without they benefits of essential oils and they are not made from plants. Fragrance oils can be irritating to the skin so they must be mixed with something such as aa carrier oil before being applied directly to skin. For more information, check out: Essential Oils vs Fragrance Oils

You might also want to look into perfume oils. Unlike fragrance oils, these can be applied directly to skin without causing any irritation:

I know that the Body Shop carries some great smelling perfume oils. The mango one smells really yummy, if they still make it.
