Is there anyone using henna that also relaxes?

I have heard of the disastrous results of henna and then permanent hair colors. /images/graemlins/shocked.gifI have never seen this subject on any of the black hair boards, but I am curious to know if there is anyone you know of who regularly relaxes their hair with no lye or lye relaxers and also uses the real henna powders (neutral or color) and what has been the results? I've only heard bad things from my hairdresser, she says she can usually tell a person who henna's because it leaves the hair hard.

I wanted to try a henna myself but she advised against it, so any posts on this subject I'd be interested in as well.

I use Hennalucent that I buy at Sally's and I also relax my hair. My hair feels stronger, and is shinier after I use it.
