Is there a way to block GIFs?

GIFs are slowing down my computer and sometimes freezing a page altogether. Can I block or minimize them somehow? This is really annoying.

I agree. Is there a way that there can be an option to disable gifs? All other images are fine; it's just that some gifs can be annoying, even with a high internet speed.

If so theres an ad on for to block images.

Yeah, the gifs in siggys freeze up my computer. Super annoying. I ended up having to change my settings so I wouldn't see anyone's signature when they posted.

They are so annoying. I hate when threads turn into a dance off or gif war. That is the most annoying thing on the site.
