I FINALLY got around to reading the article on her in the January issue of Sophisticate's Black Hair and she sounds JUST LIKE an LHCF member
smile.gif
she gets her hair pressed and she says her hair is Brastrap length and that she just keeps it trimmed, moisturized and pulled back in a ponytail. she also goes on to say that she will not let them glue any hair on her head and that she likes using pieces and falls that the stylists can "beat up" all they want as she says

she likes to get her hair washed and braided up (her own hair weekly) and she thinks that getting your "edges" trimmed is good advice. Also that she uses Sebastian rinse for color when she uses different falls and hairpieces and deep conditions with Queen Helene Cholesterol. This is a direct quote from the article

"But more importantly, i would say keep your hair conditioned. Hair really takes a beating and people dont even realize just walking down the street under the sun is inflicting damage on the hair. Deep conditioning is very important."

I always liked her hair but now i'm wondering if she is actually lurking here on the boards

lol Thats the issue with Alicia Keyes right. I was reading that too. She does sound like she is a member of this forum. That is like one of the only articles that SBH has printed that actually makes sum since into maintaining healthy hair.

Yes

that's the one--you are SO right. most of their articles are a crock of b.s. and a lesson in denial (different women talking about taking care of the weave like it's really their hair growing outta their head) but her article is real and she is being up front not naming all the popular "big money" items and all that, just being honest about what she uses and why she won't let them do certain things to her hair
smile.gif
sounds very aware of the facts

yup she sure does...i really like her new image too. It looks classy but she can still be a rapper at the same time...Same goes with eve but I dont know how healthy her hair is so im just gonna speak on fashion image only. Usually when they interview celebs all they really emphasize is trimming. I was reading other issues of SBH with Syleena and she says she trims every three weeks, and then i read anoher interview with Beyonce. She says she trims often because "its unhealthy to hold on to dead hair, its best to trim it" WTF??????????? Okay no more hair advice from Beyonce.

Exactly Ayeshia! Sometimes I even wonder if the stars say that trimming garbage or if they insert that in there so stylists can get more money out of us. All hair is dead so when stylists say I'm trimming the dead ends...What I want to say is "it's all dead DUMMY!!!"

God bless you all.

I like Rah's hair. I am glad she takes good care of it. So many stars allow the stylists to destroy their hair.
