Really. Blond hair doesn't look good on everyone. I think skin tone needs to be taken into consideration when dying the hair blond. The majority of the female celebs currently rocking blond hair look so much better with darker hair. Beyonce, Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige, Christina Milian...I saw a picture of Monica in the Hype Hair with Alicia Keys on the cover, and her hair is now jet black and beautiful. She looks stunning. I hated that blond mess in her hair.

I half pay attention to avatars, so I didn't even realize you had the blond Monica up there.

I think it's okay, problem is, her features don't jump out as much anymore, imho. Also, it looks as if she's done some tanning to accomodate the warm tones of the golden hair.

karonica,

i was thinking the same thing. see, i'm always considering going light brown/blonde too...but i never found someone with the same complexion as me. everybody else is either lighter than me (jessica alba, j lo, carmen electra) or darker (beyonce, iman, naomi campbell)...so now i see christina milian with it and she has my complexion. and when i always thought that when i do it i would have to go tanning too so i don't look too washed out. you should never pick a haircolor that's too close to your complexion. and apparently she thought the same way

but i don't know if i am willing to go tanning just so the haircolor looks good on me....hmmmm

Yip. She was smart. If she had dyed her hair and not tanned, I don't think it would've looked as good. Warm haircolors compliment warm complexions and the same with cool tones. If she had dyed her hair blonde and stayed with her before complexion which was on the cool side, she would've looked best with an ashier, dirtier type blonde, compared to the golden one she has. But, I would NOT recommend her going blonde with that complexion. Cool-colored streaks perhaps, but not completely blonde, because then, her hair would've been lighter than her, and that's not cool all the time (although, I must admit I like Paris Hilton's platinum hair).

I saw the mag as well as the website. I love the new color.

If her stylist tried to convince her not to color it, she should know how to take care of it or she will become an ex-stylist.

But all in all it looks good to me. It definitely make her look more mature.

I like it too, but of course, I dye my hair blonde, as well!!! With my natural hair color, my skin looks just too pale, with the lighter color my skin looks darker and healthier.
Personally, I think she carries either look well.

I think she is a beautiful woman and she looks good either way. I definitely like the pic on her website. Her stylist just needs to do her job and take care of it.
