I see boobies!!!!

Congrats on reaching your hair goal!!

Sorry for the boobie show ...:perplexed

As I said earlier, when I first went natural, I was caught up in trying to wash and condition it every week and I would have coils all over the floor and when I pulled them out they would be at least 3 inches long. I read from a natural hair stylist that for women with a coarse texture like mine I should only wash 1x a month and that's what I do. I do not comb my hair except for 1x a month when I get ready to wash and then I use C&G afro detangler and a mix of Surge plus 14 hair revitalizer and Infusium 23 to section my hair and gently comb in the c&g method from ends to root and then band each section and get in shower and wash with whatever I have. I then use Miss Jessies Curly buttercreme to do 2 strand twists and I wear them in all kinds of styles for 2 weeks or so and then I do a twist out and I will pin it up into a french twist or a pony tail or use headbands to tame it down and wear a fro. I will rinse my hair with the twists in if I feel I need it. No combing I think is the key, I strictly use my fingers to style. I was a prod junkie but I don't think any one product has benefitted my hair as much as just leaving it alone. There are some prods I prefer though like the Miss Jessies, Wen cleansing conditioner in tea tree or fig and the Afro detangler, Infusium 23 and Surge. I rarely put oil on my scalp and if I wear a fro for a couple of days no more cause I think that dries the ends out I use Wave Noveau moisturize conditioner just in my palms to stretch it out and keep ends moist.

My hair now is longer , stronger and thicker than it's been in years.
Thank you all so much for being so kind.

I've learned a lot from just lurking around here. :look:
