Re: Is Lusters\'s moisturizer leave in (pink bottle)
I used this faithfully for 11 or so yrs off & on. It works best when 1st applied. In fact, it works beautiful... gives lots of shine, body, volume. However, the more u use it, the more u'll begin to notice that ur hair is drying out
.
I could never understand why that was the case... so what did I do? I just used more of it
. Then of course, my hair dried out even more.... It wasn't until I found the hair boards a yr ago when I finally realized what was wrong... Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer was drying out my hair, causing unnecessary breakage, dullness, tangles, etc.
I tell ya', that stuff is like liquid plastic (just being illustrative)... it coats the hair something fierce, then blocks much needed water (moisturizers) from entering.
Cuz the word "Moisturizer" is in the name, I thought it was moisturizing to the hair. THAT'S NOT SO... I soon found out that "oil" is not a "moisturizer", but back then I didn't know any better.
If u do decide to use this, just be very careful of the drawbacks...I would definitely wash 2x weekly to rid the product from the hair.
Another thing, I have clients who still love this product... their hair looks very healthy.. they have no problems... just another example of "what works for sum may not work for others"
Take care,
