I'm sure y'all are tired of seeing my wash and go pics. some pics were from before my haircut. QUOTE]
We never get tired of your wash and go pics.Love to see those gorgeous curls.
@ckisland,A Caucasian curly once told me something that has remained true. Technique is equally, if not more important than product. To this end, I rake and smooth everything into each section of hair, always. This yields predictable, even results almost all of the time.
Remember ladies, if the activator gel by itself doesn't give you enough hold or definition, pair it with your favorite styling gel! I use about 60% activator paired with 40% styling gel. I like light styling gels like Blue Eco Styler or the blue La Bella Styling Gel (smells like oranges) I apply the activator gel first, then the styler on top, but you can just mix it together in the jar if you like. Whatever works best

Seems the consensus is primarily type 3 with a 4a or two sprinkled in. I still think this is.difficult for 4s. I hope a few Type 4s who had success speak up.

how long does this whole process take you? i have been trying to do wash go's for the past week and the application process seems to take me forever........about 2 hours
It takes me about 5 mins, 10 max. I rake the gel through my hair without using sections. Do you use a lot of sections? TopShelf
well I got my curls back and I am loving it. protecting my hair just leads to me messing up my curl pattern. but I have been wng everyday and I have no problem and with the knots I just put she butter on the nap and edges as a loc method and it has cut that down really.
How is that possible? Curious.
I will try WnG once the weather warms up again (raining a lot these days). The last two times I WnGed my hair knotted and tangled up like crazy. I will keep trying until I get it right...
greenandchic because I was using a lot of oils and bantu knot my hair while it was wet and that makes my hair straight when it drys. so it messes up my curl and I have to tame my curl all over again. yea my hair is like that.
whiteoleander91 - yes, it's working great for me. I'm still using it and doing wash n go's. Now, I've been using EcoStyler gel over it for more elongation and to help my hair dry. When I use Long Aid by itself, it stays too moisturized and gradually shrinks each day.Poohbear is the activator gel still working for you? :3

I've been thinking of treating myself and picking up some of my beloved Worlds of Curls lolI'm visiting with my parents so I'm a lot closer to the BSS that carries it now. I might go pick up some sometime this week. I wish Sally Beauty Supply or Walmart/Target/Walgreens/CVS
would start carrying it!!
Poohbear I'm glad it's still working for you!
One side of my hair is more coarse and I get breakage. How do you moisturize your wash n go without ruining the definition?
