Is it ok to use vegetable oil on your hair?

I know this might be a question that was probably covered already- but I just need a quick answer from anyone that uses it.

If you use vegetable oil- what 's the difference bet it and olive oil?

PS. I ran out of olive oil. :wallbash:

I've never had a problem with vegetable/soybean oil. Extra Virgin Olive oil just has more nutrients because it is cold pressed and not heated, bleached, and unstable like the veggie oil. I use it all the time with no issue. Good luck.

I don't think there is a difference IMO. Oil is oil.. whether it's vegetable, olive, almond...etc... if its all derived from a vegetable or nut, then it is all good!!

I guess it also depends on how you are using it and the quantity.

I use safflower oil daily. It is lighter than olive oil and my hair absorbs it better. I have used vegetable oil to detangle my hair before washing because the oil is so thick and heavy. I would use it lightly if you are planning to use it for grooming your hair.

Great advice- good thing I didn't drench my hair in it yet. Thanks so much- I will keep that in mind..

ps.I'm just using it for styling/moisturizing

Yes, it works very well on the hair and body, too; but a week later, I know I can't wear the same clothes again . . . because they will smell, so it's best to add avocado, almond and a few drops of peppermint oil to the vegetable oil. :superbanana:
