This is one of the reasons I stopped henna. It made my hair a lot looser.

I love that henna has loosened my pattern. I can find the curls now. BTW, from what I read, its not actually straightening, but weighing the hair down. It is attracted to the proteins in the cuticle, basically coating the hair rather than penetrating. The Natural Haven has a good article on it.
