Deep Conditioning without heat is conditioning your hair; not "deep conditioning". It is the heat that allows the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft.

I like the results but i like to do it once in a while because i want to conserve electricity. besides the results are just as good when using a plastic cap and a warm towel.

I do it now without my microwave cap since I overheated it and had to throw it out. I am just as happy with the results without it, for now, but I will do it from time to time once I get another cap. Using my hooded dryer is a lot of extra work and I feel too grounded as I cannot move about. So far my hair has not suffered from not using heat. bonjour
