is it ok to leave on conditioner for a lot longer than is said on the bottle? i have the neutrogena triple moisture hair mask and it says to leave iut in 3 to 5 minutes but i would like to leave it on for about an hour or so. has anyone done this? thanx

When it comes to my moisturizing conditioners, I find that they work best on my hair when left on for 3 to 5 minutes (no heat).

Yes, it should be sufficient if that's what the directions say. The reputable companies have tested their products and have researched them enough to find a time window in which the product will work best.

i've never left a conditioner on for that long. I've never gon shorter than 20 minutes because I heard that it doesn't penetrate the hair shaft. sumthn like that.
