Shampoo: MoroccanOil Moisture Repair Shampoo
DC: MoroccanOil Intense Hydrating Mask
(I mix a few drops of the MoroccanOil Lite Treatment into each initial dollop of DC I use. I always section in 4 and apply to make sure everywhere is getting throughly coated then I seal each section with grapeseed oil and steam. I don't have a steamer so I use
this method. And I
cool & seal with MoroccanOil Moisture Repair Conditioner.
Or on dry hair I mix up some EVOO, Avocado oil, grapeseed oil and a little bit of One N' Only Argan Oil Treatment and use Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque and apply it like the Carol's Daughter
Oil Infusion Kit. (the smell of the mask bothers me so I think I'm going to start doing it with the MoroccanOil Hydrating Mask or Giovanni SAS) I seal the product in with the excess oil then sit under my heating cap.
I also just started not washing my rinse out conditioner fully. While styling I take each section before I add leave-in and I gently clamp each piece between two fingers and side them down the length to remove excess conditioner then apply my leave-in.
Leave - in: 50% Kinky Curly Knot Today 50% Aleo Vera Juice and a capful of silk amino acids. (I use KCKT because I have fine strands and it doesn't weigh my hair down)
Hair Moisturizer: I mix AVJ, KCKT, SAA and some Kinky Curly Spiral Spritz.
I've heard good things about Oyin Hair Dew but I haven't tried it myself. It's another product that's recommended for fine strands because it's so light weight, so if you have average/coarse strands it may not be helpful for you.
Hair Oil/Styling Product: 100% cold pressed Argan Oil.
I've heard good things about Macadamia Oil because it closely mimics sebum but again something I haven't tried myself.
Flaxseed gel hasn't done me wrong so far
Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel
The MoroccanOil line is pricey but I've been testing out the One N' Only line of the Argan Oil products and thus far they have been very comparable and much more economical. The only two things I caution about is the smell, it's very perfumey and some people don't like that and the second is the Organix line of Moroccan Oil products were very drying to my hair. It might just be a me thing but I don't recommend taking that chance.
And though silk amino acids make my hair softer I'm not sure if it's actually aided in moisture and moisture retention. My hair was doing fine before I started using it, it's just nice to have the extra softness but feel free to forego it.
