I’m Starting to See A Lot of Google Advertising

The forum glitches on me and now the ads are making it difficult to navigate. This site feels like it has been taken over by bots and our opinions as long-time paid users are not being taken into consideration. I feel like I am losing my E-Family of sisters.

Sigh. It is the same for me. I had not even considered leaving but connected to the site from my laptop and it is so busy I am no overwhelmed. I usually use my phone when I'm just reading and the ads haven't hit the phone yet. But I use my laptop when I post pictures and there are so many ads in between threads that it is hard to navigate. How about an ad-free subscription and a ad-subscription.

Now not sure I will hang around for 2025.

I have an ad-blocker on my computer plus I use Safari since I have a Mac but ads started appearing on my cell phone like crazy today. If anyone has any solutions to ads on the phone please post.

I spoke too soon. Now I'm seeing a ton of ads on my computer using safari. I wonder what happened today. I'm due for an update so I'll try that first. If it doesn't work I think my VPN has an ad blocker integrated in it. I don't keep it on all the time because it makes browsing cumbersome but I'll try that if the update doesn't fix it.

The ad blocker I downloaded is working. Crisis averted… for now.

Updating the operating system didn't do anything but the VPN worked. I have Nord VPN and I turned on DNS filtering which 'blocks ads and malicious domains before any threats reach your device'. No more ads.

I have a Samsung laptop and phone...and use the Samsung browser more than Chrome.

Ok I don’t think there’s one for chrome for iPhone. I don’t touch safari. Another wild card of 2024
