It's probably worse for you now that you are stretching because the thick roots can really hold in the heat!  I did those blowouts about three times before I realized how damaging they can be to the hair stand over time.  I am learning to deal with the fact that maybe, for me, straighter is not always better.  I am learning alternative styles to hold me over while I stretch.
				
			
					
				
   I'm thinking they must be using a stronger dryer than the other place.  
 
  
  I don't think I've EVER felt heat that hot before!  Not even with the curling iron!  
 It's even worse if you have relaxed hair.  I don't care if they only blow the "roots", that heat travels down the hair shaft I'm sure.  
  
  I tried to play it off, but it hurt so bad.   Plus, my edges looked so thin and whispy when I got home.  Maybe some people can take the heat, but I learned early on in my hair care regime that dom. blowouts are NOT for me.  My edges were almost non-existent after that one blowout.  I'm  STILL  suffering the effects  from it because my hair is really fine naturally, and so I don't think dom blowouts are a  good thing for my hair.
