Mine down there is the same coilyness as my natural hair on my head but it feels much more coarse. I keep it shaved and trimmed into a cute low strip anyway so i don't deal w/ any curl/coils down there.

There has got to be some study out there as to why that is; could it be the natural juices gives it all that??

My pubic hair is pretty. Its 3a and the textue of an Indian(from India) hair and has shine to it. I know TMI! But you asked. But um no it's not the same.

I keep a low profile too but with a runway with no grass outside the strip most of the time. Anything else would be uncivilized.

I always thought I was the only one with different textures. The hair on my head is 4a, and let's just say that DH calls the other hair "Puerto Rican wavy."

I saw something on Discovery Channel a while back. Pubic hair follicles are different. They are shaped like an oval (0) so the hair is almost forced to grow in a corkscrew and be coarse.
Scalp hair is usually shaped almost perfectly round (O).

That said, almost all my body hair is straight or nearly straight. The only place I have curls are on my head

nope, mine is not the same. Let's just say that I wish I could swap the hair down there with the hair on my head. It's shiny and more like a 3a texture. I'm part indian, but you would never know by looking at the hair on my head

The hair on my head is type 4 tightly coiled and fine stranded... my pubic hair is type 3 with no curl pattern and is very thick stranded.

It has no curl pattern, but rather looks like a black, shiny brillo pad. I would NEVER wish for such a thing to be on my head! The strands are so thick and hard and shiny. I have no idea how Michael Jackson manages to perm his, but I think mine would revert instantaneously... I remember trying to wax that mess. I was crying and everything, the hair down there is so d@mn strong and thick my skin tore off with the wax and the hair stayed! I wish my hair on my head was as strong and shiny, then I would have never lost any in braids. I don't even shed down there, and I can get 2 inches in 2 weeks... I guess I would like it but then again.. if I had to have the texture I would just shave it bald like Mr. Clean.

No, my nana hair is nothing LIKE the hair on my head - it's wavy, and VERY coarse/wiry - the hair on my head is fine, tightly coiled, and MUCH softer (thank heavens!!!!!! )

It's /funny that it's even a question.... It's like asking if your armpit/leg hair is the same as the hair on your head.....
