Anyone Just Press or Flat Iron Natural Hair Straight?

I can not get the roots straight with a flat iron. Therefore I utilize a pressing comb. How do you guys get the roots straight with the flat iron?

my roots get straight with my maxiglide....it doesnt really get hot on the outside, so i can put it right up against my scalp....

It depends on the size of the iron. My latest iron is 1 3/8" and I can finally get to my roots. Before I had an iron that was over 2 inches with a comb attachment. I used to struggle with that one...erplexed

cosigning..mines is a one inch. I cant believe how much patience I had with that awful golden hot flat iron. Never again
