! i cant wait untill myhair gets long

Um, and by "long" you mean "longer" Ms. Juice to da Waist? Umph.

Anyway, I'll go out on a limb and say that it depends on why you grew your hair. For me it's not really about styles. I know that mine will be up in different buns and twisted styles and worn down only once in a while. For me long hair is an extension of my feminine energy and to be surrounded in would be an extension of the beauty and grace all women have been granted by nature. My hair is grown so that I can enjoy it's presence, not so I can use it for some specific purpose. Thought, I will enjoy fancy updo's when my hair grows out. I just think they are regal.

Gosh ladies...I'm not complaining. I just don't know what to do that doesn't require alot of heat. I've never had long hair before lhcf so I don't have styles in my arsenal. Hell, I barely style my hair before lhcf. Rollerset is out of the question it would take too long to dry.

But you guys did give me some good ideas.

Btw. I'm close to wsl not there yet. Maybe one inch or two. I just want a list of styles for long hair. Apl was a little easier to manage.

I'm the same place as you.....what you should do is....go to the BSS and buy all size hair clips...pretty ones, plain ones...just start collecting them and keep bobby pins on deck.

Sometimes i'll get an idea...like i'll do a braid out...and then i'll say...i wonder if i clip this part up...what would that look like?...and then slowly but surely i'll have this weird funky style.

I'm currently mastering my bantu knot outs. :D

And like you...i really don't think rollersetting would be for me...takes too long.

Too much Family Guy:look::grin:

Beautiful hair! I love your blog as well but serious question....Why did you decide to grow it to waist length if you weren't sure as to what to do with it.

If I were in your shoes, I'd be smacking all my doubters in the face with my
hair for starters.

If you're s till not sure what to do, check out the thread where a lot of members were living "vicariously" through the members with longer hair. There should be a lot of tips there.
http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=433600

Honestly I wanted to see if I could do it. I never had doubters. Actually everyone supported me and are always asking advice. I never thought about styling so much. Hair growing has just become a hobby and a challenge. Now, that I am almost at my goal, I am not sure what to do with it now.

You get me. Hair is feminine and sexy to me. No other purpose really. Styling sometimes sure but really, if after some time I cant take it anymore, it goes into a weave REGARDLESS of length. I just like knowing I have my own hair is I choose.

Congrats on being so close to WL! I think that a twist out using large sections of hair would look so nice on you :yep:

Your hair is stunning. Quick question, how do you "search and destroy split ends"? I have them and have no idea what to do.

I know how you feel. Lately I've been wearing french braids. One, Two, side parted, with bangs, etc. If I get really bored and don't want to use heat, I'll put on a half wig.

If regular rollersets are too time consuming, try doing flexrod sets. My hair is MBL and shrinks to shoulder/apl with a flexi set. Its really cute. Last 5 days usually.

I take a small section, put the ends up to light and whenever I see a split, I snip it. Simple. In the back, I kind of just cut off about a .5 to 1inch.

I broke my flexirods that ive used literally once when i was SL. I'll try it out.

I do understand where you are coming from. I am MBL and texlaxed. I don't even try to pull off the braid outs anymore because they leave my hair a tangled mess after just one day. I don't really do straight styles very often, that may have to change though. I co wash often, put it up and I'm out the door. That's it. I'm really into different hair toys. Thanks you DLewis. i try to buy cute combs, chopsticks, hairpins, clips and such to give me a little variation. I would like to do more but I guess 1) I have gotten very lazy, and 2) with little ones I don't have time to do anything really elaborate. So, I feel ya girl.

oooh. cute hair toys

when i get to WSL, i plan on doing A LOT of braidouts, just for the sheer fact that they will look longer, and in my opinion, much nicer. I cant wait til my hair looks long even after taking it out of braids
