I'm calling you out girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies, you all really are making me blush. I really feel honored by the attention, as I'm really quite critical of myself. Thank you all!

Here is my hair care plain...

Webby’s hair maintenance routine

**disclaimer
This is my personal maintenance plan. It works for me and has been my method for many years, through long and short hair. Because it works for me, is no guarantee that someone else will achieve the same results, as each head of hair is different, therefore requiring specific products and nutrients. Should you try to repeat these steps at home and are not happy, please do not be upset with me…I’m just sharing what works for me**

After following a fresh touchup and colourshines application, this is my ritual:

I know that some people find it disgusting and gross, but my hair does NOT handling frequent washings very well. I used to go the dom salon every, single week, w/o failure, rain or shine. My hair never broke, but I did not maintain the amount of growth that I wanted, as my ends were always dry, so I started getting my hair washed and set every two weeks. I also learned that since my hair is very dense, wavy and course, it did better when I manipulated as little as possible.

Products

Crème of Nature Shampoo with conditioner for regular hair
Sebastian Penetraitt, Potion No. 9 and colourshines (red.ality is the color I use, sometimes I lighten it a little by mixing with bold gold).
Nexxus KerapHix , Emergencee and Humectress
Humecto
Lacio, Lacio
Sedal Verano Intensivo
Tigi Bed Head – Moisture Maniac and Self Absorbed.

Wash 1 –
1. two weeks after a toucup, I wash and then apply Penetraitt. I use a hair net, NOT A PLASTIC CAP and sit under dryer for 20 minutes.
2. Rinse
3. Apply Humectress with a dallop of Potion No. 9 , Lacio-lacio or Sedal Verano Intensivo
4. Roller set (I’m under the dryer for close to 2 hours, even with the 2.5” rollers), but it’s imperative that my ends are completely dry.
5. Blow out roots and wrap or pin-curl.

Wash 2
I wash and apply KerapHix; cover with plastic cap, sit under dryer for about 20 minutes.
Follow directions 2-5 of Wash 1.

Wash 3
I wash and apply Humecto; cover with plastic cap and sit under dryer for about 20 minutes.
Follow directions 2-5 of Wash 1.

Wash 4
I wash and apply Emergencee. There is some discrepancy, as to how Emergencee should be used, but I follow the instructions on the bottle I purchased, as to avoid dryness, breakage, or protein overload.
I apply Emergencee after washing, cover and sit under 10 MINUTES ONLY. **I gently wash again.**, rinse and then apply Humecto (to ensure that my hair does not become dry and brittle from using the protein). Rinse after 20 minutes and…
Follow directions 2-5 of Wash 1.

I repeat these 4 steps until I need a touchup, which varies depending on how much I sweat.

Note, I comb my hair only twice a day at most: sometimes in the morning, but now that my hair is longer I can unwrap, or pull out the pins, shake-n-go. The only other time I comb is in the evening to wrap or pin-curl.

I never use a brush, other than when I’m blowing my roots.
I get a dusting every 8 or 9 weeks, and I am a firm believer that this is what has maintained my length, as I’ve been growing my hair out of the pixie cut.

Thanks for posting your routine! (and for the password help  ) Your hair is just beautiful!!. And you're right, everyone can't take washing every few days. I wash every two weeks too and so do a lot of other long haired ladies on this board!

Yes, I love the pincurl style you had.... I would love to see pictures of that so I can learn how to do it...
You mean the pic where the bottom was just flipped up? If so, I'll post pictures of that.

I  how thick and pretty your hair is. Your "How to rollerset" really helped me out. :yep: One day I'll try the Sebastians Colourshines. ;)
Thanks Webby.
