I'm about to put a stylist on blast.

It is clearly uneven and I think you should definately call and complain. That is not acceptable. Even if it is just a little bit uneven, it is still obviously uneven and they should correct it for free.

Wow...I'm sorry this happened to you, MissJ. I agree with the other posters, you should definetely call and complain about this. This "trim" is very uneven, you're APL on your left and a little below SL on the right. Please provide a link to this thread in the Salon Review forum.

:bighug:

OMG its definitely uneven. About an inch uneven. I'm so sorry this happened to you!
BTW I canceled my appointment with the stylist yesterday. Maybe I'll go back in 2010.

Miss J. Please don't let this slide. If you can't make it back to shop call and ask for the manager and then send an email of the pictures.
So sorry.

I am so sorry this happened to you, MissJ. :nono: Cutting is one of the fundamentals of being a stylist/beautician. How could she have messed it up so badly? :perplexed

If it's any consolation, your hair looks very healthy and shiny, and you looked pretty in your school pictures. :yep: I know that a compliment won't grow your hair back but I do hope it helps you feel better.

I think that the stylist definitely made your hair uneven and they do from time to time. I had the same experience happen to me. But I think that you should say something so that they are aware that they did the damage. Because stylists need to know when they mess up.

I agree with the others who said to contact the salon manager and e-mail the pictures or come in and show them.

I have never gone to a stylist consistently, they make your hair look real good, but they can easily jack it up :nono::nono::nono:

Does your hair grow faster on one side? One side of my hair grows faster and at one point it was noticeably uneven... I got it trimmed to all the same length but that side still seems to take longer to grow than the other one.

Thanks y'all. I'm in a totally different state now, takes me 2 days to drive to Georgia. I won't be back there for a while, and I don't think I want to go there again. Aside from the cut, I don't like their blowdrying method now that I found my own that works so well. I think I will email them a complaint, though.

I wasn't using "nap up" in a derogatory way so i'm hoping you didn't take it that way. I just meant "back to it's kinky state/no longer smooth and straight" like being frizzy or the roots have sweat out, etc.

Ok, if you don't trust yourself to trim it then leave it be. I'm wondering if you can call over to the shop, let them know that your hair is not even due to a stylist error then see if your normal person can do it at no charge of course. Do you feel comfortable with this as an option? I know you must be very frustrated!!

I didn't take it as derogatory. I was just quoting your terminology. Like I said, before I left the salon when it was completely straight except for bumped under, I could tell that it looked uneven. I just thought maybe she curled it uneven. Thanks for the advice.

I think my hair grows at basically the same rate, and even if it did grow faster on one side, I don't see how that would impede the stylist in trimming it properly.

I would right back to that salon and calmly, but firmly tell them that you are dissatisfied with the trim, show them how obviously uneven it is, and ask that they fix it, for free. If they don't fix it or if they do a bad job fixing it up, I would find out how to complain about them. Would that go to the Better Business Bureau. Mail those pics to them, if necessary.

MissJ:
Your hair is uneven like mine- and I cut my hair myself! I'd expect better from a hair stylist!

:lachen: Me too!!! I gave myself that exact same cut. I haven't corrected it yet because wearing my ends curled instead of slightly bumped or straight makes it look even. I wouldn't trust them to correct it like I don't trust myself. Gonna let my momma take care of it later.

WOW! She obviously does not know how to cut! That is a HUGE mistake! Sorry that happened to you!:giveheart: If you wear your hair up alot you might not even notice.

Thanks ladies. My hair is curled now, but I'll probably be bunning for the duration of the summer.
