hey all...im new here...i'm a type 3B and i just wanted 2 know if n e 1 knows n e products that work well 4 my type...my hair isn't thick, but not fine either...it's more like medium-medium/thick....i keep my hair relaxed (i use optimum care) and the only real problem i ever have is that my scalp tends 2 get dry...i don't use heat very often (once per week @ most) and i usually wash every 1-2 week(s)...also, i prefer 2 keep my hair in a straight style (not needle-straight...just straight w/ends turned under usually)...n e ideas???? thanx!

Welcome to the board. I am farely new here.
My daughter has type 3a hair. To achieve soft, silky ringlets I use Regis Hydrating Balm. And the Regis Line period.
This is a wonderful creamy, moisturizing conditioner that caresses every strand in your hair. It gives your thristy hair a big drink. It is excellent for softening, detangling, emulsifying hair.
I then apply Giovanni direct with a smidge of aloe vera gel and Africa's best ultimate oil with jojoba added.
It does wonders for her hair.
I use this myself on natural hair. Her hair is natural as well , but the Regis Hair care lines works well on relaxed hair.

4a/natural
medium texture
growing like crazy

thanx u guys...does n e 1 else use n e thing other than what sterry mentioned???? please no EXPENSIVE stuff tho...lol, i don't have a REEAAAAL job so i'm def. on a budget...

For the dry scalp, maybe try massaging with jojoba oil from the health food store. Jojoba oil is kind of expensive, but you don't have to use alot.

As for other products, there are so many raves on this board, cheap and expensive, which have worked for ALL the hair types, so you shouldn't have trouble with recomendations. (Use search

And girl, I feel you on the budget thing.
