Yeah thats what I was thinking, I was brainwashed to think that they were so bad and ceramics were soooo good, and I been trying to find a good gold flat iron and its hard to find a non ceramic Iron these days

Yes indeedy I'm skurred! I did a lot of damage to my hair w/ one of those Gold N' Hot flat irons. Man, talk about splits and heat damage. I lost a some of my curl too. I haven't experienced this w/ a ceramic but like bre said, all heat is the devil.

ITA. I got rid of mine before LHCF. My hair changed noticably from using it weekly. :yep: Now it's just me and my Maxiglide.

I never really had an issue with either...
I mean after reading Gold culing irons and flat irons can be considered better because of the way the heat distributes, It made sense.. doesnt matter though, cant find one hardly anywhere,

Ceramic curling irons dont work on my hair and I've been too afraid to buy another Gold-n-hot. The ceramic flat iron works great, though. :D

I was just thinking the same thing the other day when I was looking for a flat iron and couldn't find anything other than ceramics so I was forced to buy one (a cheap one). I'm a little too frugal these days to buy a maxiglide......

I will only use GNH unless I know another brand gets as hot. My hair is quite resistant and Id hate to just waste money... I know Gold N Hot Works. My hair was never really damaged, prob cuz I always used Grease to curl my hair
But I def wouldnt use it on its Max temp which I always did...

Are you afraid to use Gold Plated Non Ceramic Tools??
I'm sending all my gold plated junk to the goodwill.

There is such a huge difference with the ceramic / ion everything, hood dryer and blow dryers included.
