If I knew my weave could look that nice I would really consider it.
The cut is really cute.

Your cut is cute, is this the same Tinnell from UH? She is a good stylist.
nichi i love your installs, what kind of hair do you use? and how do you take care of the hair underneath?

glad to see someone actually taking care of their weave. Yours looks nice for it being in what? two months? Anyways very pretty and I like the before and after.
It's hot in houston? Really? It's up and down in dallas?
I had thought about trying this so I could try an inverted bob..
One question though: What happens if your hair at the crown (that's left out) is longer than the bob ? Would she have to cut it?
Fab as usual! Your bone structure can carry off any style. You know what you remind me of another pretty girl from Nigeria I knew back in the day from Houston. Her name was Helen.
She's in Houston?!?!?
Nichi - your hair is straight fly...
Your hair looks wonderful and she did a great job with the cutting!
How long do you hope to be when you take your install down in Dec.?
my dumb self just realized this is the exact brand of hair i have had sitting in my shopping cart online for 2 weeks. yep, ordering that ASAP. still looks great, girl!
i hope you don't mind if i save the pics of the bob (i won't save the ones with your face). i had definitely planned on getting a 12-14" sew-in and cutting it into a bob once it got a little older. you probably already answered this (haven't gone back to read thread #1 yet), but what is your braiding pattern? did you leave any hair out?
ETA: after reading that thread...yep, 10" should be enough for me. i might feel self conscious with the 12", but it looks great on you!!!
First off, I'd like to say thanks to everyone for their kind compliments regarding my weave hair cut. I'm really enjoying it and the new pop in my step. I feel edgier. I definitely will consider shorter styles for future sew ins.
Now onto the questions:
I use Goddess Remi in 1B and I wash and flat iron my hair and it matches pretty well. Here it is:
Care: I wash with Giovanni tea tree shampoo and suave conditioner and i use my shea butter mix and oil and water spray inbetween the tracks and rub in. I let the hair semi air dry then blow dry it and flat iron. I also apply heat protectant to the hair left out and flat iron. Sometimes i do a flat twist out on my real hair and crimp the weave.
Yup, that's her. She says hey to you all!!
Yup, I've had it in almost 2 and a half months. I like to wash and style it for freshness. People thought this was a whole new sew in. It's definitely not. Yeah it's hot down here. Burnt myself on the leather seats today. Can you see the sun through my bedroom window? It gets cooler at night though. A lot of people are ready for the colder weather, I don't mind it.
I thought we'd come across this problem and we sorta did. She didnt cut it, she curled it and made it semi messy so it would blend. Also, with this sew in, she left less hair out so not much at all at the crown was longer. I think if you want to try this look, leave less hair at the crown, just enough to cover the tracks. I knew I was cutting the weave so I asked for it.
Yeah? I think you're talking about my sister. Her names helen, and we sorta look alike. This look like her?
Yup, SW Houston. If you're interested, let me know. I'll get you in touch with her.
Good question, i am about APL wet, an d a bit past APL flat ironed. That was early august. I hope to be somewhere between APL and BSL. Im unsure, but hopeful
