I think about my hair growing all day just about every day. I always have to tell myself to stop measuring it because that's only going to make time pass by even slower. Today, I ran to the store because my cycle came around a little earlier than expected. I bought three different conditioners, some castor oil, and a detangler. I never even stopped at the feminine hygiene section  When I got back home; my fiance said he couldn't believe that I forgot something so important/more important. He said I have a problem  .He went back to the store for me. I luv him. Our babygirl is also getting low on pampers, but I am going to sneak to the store first thing in the morning and buy them (I'm not going to let him know that though). :look: I've never been like this before, wanting & yearning for something this bad. Goodness Help me.

I always forget about my hair when I do protective styles. Well at least for most of the time anyway! With that said, constantly thinking about my hair leads to me becoming very impatient.

I have a sewn weave that I am going to keep in for a maximum of 2 months. My usual ps are falls (half wigs) worn over cornrows. I also do rollersets on my hair.

Thank you for being there or here. From many trials I know that my hair doesn't grow as much in braids or cornrows even if I'm shampooing & conditioning good with squirt bottle, and even if I moisturize well. I'm just going to try not to become so obsessed and try my best to be calm & patient.

I can relate. Ever since joining LHCF, hair care/products/maintenance/growth is all I think about and all I wanna talk about. It's a struggle to not talk about it all day! Before, when I went to the store, I went straight to the baby section. Now, it's like tunnel vision, straight to the hair products isle!

Thank You for replying. I used to like to go straight to the baby and the magazine sections too. Now it's so hard to stay focused  . When I go to the grocery store or Walmart for food and other essential items. I have to get tough on myself and not allow myself to enter the hair section but once a week (or even every two weeks) and other than that, for true emergencies.:ban:

I think I was am like you before joining LHCF I bought one bottle os shampoo and condition and a leave-in now I buy everything I hear mentioned. After a while I realized less is more and to help me not obsess over my hair I say to myself just set it and forget it and it also helps that I remeber that little line that a watched pot never boils and before you know it you will have stronger longer beautiful hair. HTH

 Im sorry, this post made me chuckle. I can definitely relate. There have been times when I left the house to get one thing.......... and got totally distracted by some hair product/issue, and end up forgetting my original goal. *smh* Tsk! lol

Dont feel too bad. I think about my hair 24/7 as well........... I really do. Unlike yourself, I only measure it once every 3 months, but this is because I know I wont really see too much difference in between those times. A watched kettle never boils, you know?

Dont worry girl, ure not completely alone. Im obsessed too. ;) Over time, Ive just learned to conceal it better.

I'm guilty as well. My hair is always on my mind. Even in protective styles. What should I do next, how much growth will I get after I take it out. Can't wait to try this or that. You are not alone! I am here with you

Its like that Micheal Jackson song "YOu are not alone I am here w/ you" well we are all here with you. I think everyone who post here think about their hair all the time. Thats why we're here. I thought I had a problem when I first joined the hair boards. I constantly think about it want to talk about it. But it dies down only a little bit. I haven't been on for awhile due to work but Im on a mini vacation so I am able to catch up. Its good that we take care of our hair cause in turn we learn to take care of our bodies by realizing its not just about products but about what you eat, exercising and H20 intake. Happy growing

Nice obsession to have. I find myself in conversations at work with other women who care about their hair. I make a point of complementing those with great looking hair even asking about their care routines. I can hear myself talking sometimes and want to stop but I love to talk about hair!!!
My Honey says LHCF has helped him too, that made me so happy; A little girl came up to him today and said.."You have nice, shiny hair", he blushed!! .

 This post made me LOL!! I feel like I'm the same way too...all I think about lately is my hair, what products I should use next, what to buy next! Its all I talk about, my friends are sick of me :look: Now that I've gotten my products and regimine under control, I'm trying to relax about it all.

I think it's fun to be preoccupied with my hair it's a fairly positive obsession. I have calmed down some but it's still pretty bad. I have set limits for myself like only buying one or two things only when I buy hair products or items otherwise I will be broke. I also had to get my hair site surfing under control. Now I check in first thing in the morning at work, on breaks and when I get home. But I do still leave the window open at work.

I'm obsessed with hair too. Everytime i shampoo my hair, i have to comb it down in the back and *eyemeasure* it. When i go to the store, i can successfully get what i came for but i have to stop by the hair product aisle before i get in line. Hey i did get what i came in for and just a little bit extra. I love looking other ethnicities hair at work, admiring their hair styles and pretty hair thingys in their heads. I never could see how the ladies at LHCF go on hair hiatus! I couldn't even dream of such a thing. LOL!

Im having the same issue. I thought by not getting my hair done that I would cut down on my expenses, but I make up for it with the number of products I by. I've only been doing the hair care thing for a little over a month now but i been taking update pictures like crazy and I feel guilty if I skip a wash or forget to take my vitamins :perplexed

im new by the way :D
so HELLO to everyone!
