I guess I'm a bit of an anomaly. I always knew my hair was fine, whether relaxed or natural, because of how thin my strands were in comparison to most of my relatives. Most of my hairs aren't as thick as the splits of my mother's hair. It's like the difference between angel hair pasta and udon noodles. Seriously. So I always wanted to take extra care of it for fear of breaking it.
I think it's paid off because despite the fineness of my strands, they're more elastic than anyone's hair I've encountered. So moisture/protein balance is a godsend for fine haired ladies.

due to scalp eczema (it's like liquid acid to put perm on) and being fine AND low density is just sad to see even when semi-straight. It's just all whispy and flies all over my head at the tiniest breeze so trying to style it is a mess.org
