I hope you guys don't laugh at my country accent...yes I am kuntry Tenn-UH-see-en kuntry. I had to try to cram everything I wanted to say in those lil funky 10 minutes that youtube gives you. I would've done the playlist thing but it was just too tedious so I just cut the video. Thanks again for the info on blackhairtalklive, the person that emailed me back was really nice and I hope everyone tunes in on next Wednesday 10-7-09 to hear Wanakee talk about hopefully her hair and her art. :) Have a good night ladies!!!

Thanks for posting this. I'm watching it now.

Country accent??? No way where I use to live people there talked country. (clarksville)

Just watched the video; it’s great, very informative, I loved all of your hair styles and you have a beautiful accent. Thanks very much for doing it!

your video was very thorough. your natural hair texture made me melt. it is gorgeous.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know you relaxed. When did you relax again?

Excellent video. You reminded me to keep the ends tucked in. Thank you.

your voice is beautiful!

AND I'm still watching the video. I don't normally watch complete videos, so, yours is well done.

It was a great video. I truly understand the shrinkage thing. My main concern now is how will I be able to handle it when I reach WL. To imagine having to have detangle sessions with thick 4type hair that long....woooosaaaaa.

I sure hope between now and then there is some incredible product that is created to help folks like me wanting to stay natural. I see in my future buckets of detangling solution. Not something I am look forward to.

Thanks! I enjoyed that. It was very informative and your accent is fine!

that is awesome. ur hair made me drool. how long where u natural?

Great video OP! I understood your comment exactly regarding shrinkage and long natural hair.

My hair was out while I watched the video... mid-way I grabbed a scrunchie and put it up in a protective style LOL

I really like your voice! You sound like you should be on the news or at least on talk radio.

Very informative video and your hair journey is INCREDIBLE!!! Protective Styles work most definitely!!

Thanks! Your video was very encouraging. I have been neglecting my hair lately, and watching your video was a wake-up call for me.

ok this is crazy, i just read through all of wanakee's guides earlier today after about 10 or so years!

absolutely to me she is the grande dame, one of the main catalysts of the long hair care journey as we know it today! this is sooooo confirmation for me (sporting a half-wig these days) to get fully back on my grind and grow this stuff down my back!!!

i met her years ago at an event i hosted, and she is so patient and sweet. a truly nice lady! unlike some of these selfish "supermodels" we see today, she has always been willing to be a real contributor to black women's beauty! as a young teen i remember her sharing about minimizing breakouts by keeping your hands off your face! a great individual!

thanks op! good job on the video, your hair is gorgeous!

Wow! Thank you so much! I love your hair :) and your voice is great for radio/ audio, very easy on the ears.

I talk more country, and I'm from the CHI lol( I think I got it from my grandma). Your accent almost sounds like you're from the Chi. Midwest thing maybe? Anyways, curly/ straight luuuuv it. Congrats on your progress.

It's possible. I have a friend from Chicago and she and I do talk similar. :)

Now that's one I have never heard before...when Hubby mimics me I am always like, "I don't sound like that!" lol.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Yes lady, I relaxed in February of this year. I am enjoying it so far so we'll see. I am still trying to be like you circa 2001 girlfriend. :)

Yes, I can't believe the date printed when I looked at my practical and emotional guide, it was 6-28-01. How sad, lol! :)

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. I am glad I was able to be an inspiration to someone. Be blessed in all of your hair endeavors! :)

As the others have said, great video and thanks for posting! Your relaxed hair looks very healthy. Good Job
