For some reason My hair keeps breaking right down the middle. I dont know what to do:nono:. I have been keeping it moisturizing it. I admit that I was very bad to my hair before I came here but this breakage in the back has been recent. Its all new growth too. I had micros in over the summer then a sew in weave. I think that may be the culprit. Does anyone have any suggestions???

I am seriously thingking about cutting it all off to the point of breakage. I was gonna go natural withing the next 5 years anyway...:ohwell:

If you don't want to cut it, I would say baby the hair. When you first noticed it, was it broken all the way up to your scalp? Do you think it was accidentally cut when taking either the braids or micros out? DO you do lots of polytails in the same spot on your head?
Personally, I would just baby the hair and do lots of deep conditioning and see what happens. HTH:yep:

maybe it was overprocessed?

im just guessing but my right side broke off after being overprocessed.

Well I haven't had a perm since the ens of August and this happened right about the middle of September but I noticed how bad it was right after i joined here in early october

My hair is somewhat like that too. I believe that this is my stress point, and that I have to take extra care of this area. I now massage this area daily with castor oil and eo's or jojoba oil and eo's. I also have a wooden pic I use to detangle the NG in this area so that I does not get tangled and matted.

I would say def. baby the hair. Treat the hair like it is severely damaged... moisturize and take extra care not to over brush or comb this area.

I have you tried applying conditioner to this section before washing. I had a similar section on the top of my head. My stylist at the time would rub a little oil and conditioner on that section and let it sit for a couple of minutes before she washed me. She also rubbed some stimulating scalp oil on that section after rollersetting me.
