So, I was just donig my hair before bed (pin-curling) and first, I was amazed at how much new growth I've gotten in just a couple of weeks. Before, I could only feel the waves. Now I'm actually SEEING some curlage (lol, yes I made up a word)
Anywayz, I was basically in awe of my hair while I was doing it. My new growth is soooo pretty. I can't believe all those years of being programmed to think that new growth was bad and needed to be permed right away. NEVER AGAIN! Also, now that my growth is getting longer, it's easier to comb my hair. Or, maybe I'm just learning how to take care of the two textures. Plus, I think the conditioner washes have been helping.
According to my measurements (lol without a ruler), I have about 1/2 an inch & an inch of growth depending on the area. So at that rate, I definitely think that I can pull off transitioning all of my hair in a year! I'm so excited. It's gonna be fun when I flat-iron my roots every once in a while to see how much growth I've retained. Naturalness here I come! =)
Thank you ladies for all your advice and informative posts! I couldn't have found the courage and inspiration to do it without you! I'm gonna go to sleep happily! =)
