OMG!!!! Whoever posted about using avocado as a deep conditioner is an angel sent by God especially to me. I mixed an avocado with honey, castor oil, and a tbsp of lekair shea butter conditioner (not amazing to me so alittle anxious to rid of it) and slapped it on my hair after shampooing with CON and clarifying with an ACV rinse. I left it on for like 3 hours with a plastic cap(had to go somewhere, don't worry put on a hat, too) Anyway after I rinsed it out, my hair literally felt like cotton, velvet, marshmallow fluff ( it felt really really really soft)!!!! When I pulled it into a puff, the front laid down with no product and no objections (this is a first)!!! My boyfriend saw my hair and asked me if I had texturized my hair b/c it was so soft looking. Usually my hair is so dry and coarse. Of course this will be a staple for me forever and it's all natural!!! YAY LHCF!!!! I'm gonna do it again tomorrow, do u think I can leave it in overnight or all day?

Impressive! Ok, i'm convinced! I'm gonna try this.

 @ "slapped in on my hair"

That is such a funny expression to me... folks say it all the time too. "slap perm in my hair", etc...

Maybe this is why Afro Detangler works so well to stop breakage for me. It contains avocado butter and oil!

I love avocado internally, and I think it has helped with growth. But, externally? Food and hair and me are a bad triad. But, I'll have to try it blended. Thx.

im glad you found this out. ive been using avocado for over a year. i LOVE IT! its my favorite ingredient as a dc.whenever there is avocado my hubby says "is i for eating or for your hair again"lolol. he knows! it detangles my hair soooo well, makes it soooo soft!

i mix avocado+olive oil+ an egg yolk+honey and put some essential oil (ylang ylang usually) LOVE IT

I would love to use this if I could only find some Avocado Oil in Toronto. If not I'll use a bit of the leftover from the actual fruit that's about to spoil and mix it into my conditioner. :lick:
