I think I may be having problems.

Even though I don't use all that much, I've taken to using it every other day, and I really like how it makes my hair feel prior to the washing.

And mixing with the Amla oil really has made my hair strong and shiny (and really soft and moist...man o man its great!)

but washing...eeek! Never felt my hair so hard before!!! Didn't feel this hard when I washed midweek with the sap moss, but today I used my normal shampoo and con (Giovanni Metallic)

So if I'm using caster oil every other day should I be clarifying once a week maybe? I use Kenra Clarifying poo so its gentle but still:ohwell:

When I was using it every other day, I had to claify every other wash. That's the only way I could get my hair to be soft again. I finally just quit using castor oil so frequently, it wasn't worth it. :perplexed

Hey girlie, I use shikakai oil everyday that has castor oil in it. Aveda DR poo seems to really clean well even though I use so much oil, but if I use any other poo, I always do the first wash with a clarifying poo (Elucence) and the second with whatever poo I'm in the mood for. It works out great like this, and my hair is never overly dry. You might want to try this method from now on and definitely stick with your oils. They work wonders!
