I know this is LHCF, but does anyone like short hair??

aww man i love love love short hair, i rocked the mess out of hair from hair and inch (it was bad yall) to a few inches long, i'll pull up some pics
 
I cut my hair off when I turned 30 (3 years ago) and I actually think I look younger with it. I absolutely love it! But short hair is something you have to be dedicated to maintaining. Its a commitment.

I know how to wash & style my hair in between going to the salon and I am faithful about keep my edges/back lined up. If I miss the salon, I get the back cut when I take my son to the barber. I'm anal about my hair looking "fresh" @ all times.

I cut my even shorter tonight...similar to Monica's new cut. Gotta get used to this :perplexed:grin:
 
I LUV SHORT HAIR!!!!!

washed every other day...little to no conditioning...yet very healthy and strong...dried overnight = no dryers!!! YAY!!! 4-6 bumps/curls in the morning and out the door!!!! E-A-S-Y!!!!

My signature was Halle Berry Boomerang haircut :grin: oh how I miss it :sad:

NOW = different story :ohwell:
 
yup sure do...on other people lol. I have never had "long" hair so that's what I want..short been there done that and trying to acheive some length now.
 
I Love Short Hair! I was use to keeping mine short & sweet and chased every Short Style from Halle, MaryJ to Rhianna.

And as another poster stated, it is high maintenance. It requires committment. And I was at the Salon on a weekly basis to keep everything looking 'tight' and 'right'.:grin:

Right now, I am on a Quest for HEALTHY HAIR. I am not focused on Length (IK this is LHCF),:look:

I am focused on Overall Hair Health. I use to Chase "Styles" Now I am in Pursuit of "Health"

Be it Long or Short.:yep:

Exactly.:grin: I just want a nice, full, healthy, shiny looking Crop of hair.:lachen:

For me, personally, length is secondary to health.

Yeah....I can drool over WL and I can EQUALLY drool over EL as long as it's healthy.:yep:
 
This isn't "short" to me. But its short by LHCF standards. I would just be on cloud nine if I could get my hair super healthy and thick with this length. I love this bob.

So obviously, I didn't go w/my initial thoughts on a blunt bob! I decided to completely chop it off in May of 2010! I've been short every since, I love it. Not ETA for growing it back out again. Any other LHCFers that have decided to take the short plunge, or love short hair.
 
Love your cut ! I have cut my hair off so many times I've lost count. I cut mine off in May 2010 to rock the Rhianna cut, prior to that it was NL bob.

I just decided about 6 weeks ago to grow it back out to the bob cut, mostly just because of the maintenance and my stylist can never seem to keep it cut exactly the way I like it when I needed the trims.
 
I'm a sucker when it comes to short hair. Got my hair cut into a cute layered bob back in April. :grin: Only problem was I couldn't afford to maintain it to get it done on a regular. Hence my return to the board seeking a miracle to reach bsl. :lol:

Omg I always use her hairstyles when I get mine cut.

When my hair is longer than APL I usually get the urge to cut. And then I want it back lol

I used to wear my hair like Nicole Richie's...I always took pics of her to my stylist when I wanted a haircut. Then, I got it cut shorter into a "Posh bob," which was about chin length. I love short hair, but I think that long hair can be easier since you can throw it back in a ponytail or bun. I found that my short hair always needed to be styled to look good - that's why I'm growing my hair back out.
 
I got a Toni Braxton type cut when I was in my twenties. I liked it. It grew out quickly. Last year I thought about going ultra short. I even started collecting clippings from magazines of how I would want it. I changed my mind though and I want to grow it to APL in the front and BSL in the back.

I have been told by my coworker that I am pretty enough to have short hair. She seems to thinks you need to be pretty to have short hair.
 
I cut my hair short this past summer and I don't like it!!! I'm letting it grow out. I think I look better the some length.

I like short hair - I actually like all lengths coz I'm a style junkie. :) And you can have good looking hair at any length.

Funny I should see this post of mine from earlier this year. I'm not there yet, but ALOT closer to attaining this 8 months later :grin:

It seemed like such a far off goal when I first posted it, bc my hair had been just chopped off.
 
I LOVEEEEE short hair. I have many times thought of going back to my HB. I recieved tons of compliments with it and felt like an "it girl" in it. But Meghan Goode's hair is the cut I would love to get. But I invested so much time in growing my hair out and I really love my natural hair, so short hair is a no go for me now. But in the future, who knows...
 
I will always be a fan!... and everyone loves it on me. I just want to see what it feels like to put my hair in a real pony or a messy bun. And I want to feel it blow in the wind. I am sure I will cut it back short one day but I have been on this board since 2005. I would LOVE to put into practice all the things I have learned :)
 
I like short hair on other people..my face is too fat for short hair..plus 2 me its way too much work to maintain...
 
I like short hair but never had long hair. My short relaxed hair looked good, but my short natural pressed hair never held it's style long enough and ended up looking like I never got it done. I noticed with my longer hair even though it's not looking fancy or anything I get compliments.
 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE SHORT HAIR!!!! I had short (styled) hair a la T-Boz circa 1990s when my hair was relaxed! Halle, Toni and Nia Long make me want to slap lye on my scalp and cut it all off!!! lol But I really want to see how long I can grow my hair... Decisions, decisions...
 
I had to cut off quite a bit of hair due to breakage, so I'm thinking of going back to a pixie cut. My hair grows back pretty fast, especially when I take Biotin, so if I get tired of it I'll be ok. Here is a pic of me when I had a pixie cut:
