Well it is 11 pm on Valentine's Day and my lonesome pathetic self is here reviewing hair products. I knew it would be a long night so I took a trip to Ray's and spent $50 on various products. (I had to make myself feel better on this terrible day). Anyways the good news is that I LOVE the ones I have tried so far and I think you will too /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Kerapro Conditioning Shampoo by Joico - smells wonderful and works great price: $7.99

K-Pak Deep Penetrating Reconstructor by Joico - LOVE IT. A protein conditioner but not too harsh on the hair. price: $16.99

Lanza Solutions Urban Elements leave-in - I think I will swear by this stuff. It helped to tame my newgrowth that was getting out of hand and made it extremely soft. price: $7.99

This is the best roller set I have had since I've started doing my own hair. My hair looks and feels just like it does when you visit a salon.

BTW these were the products listed on the post about Aaliyah's hair regimen.

/images/graemlins/wave.gif Hey Pumpkin, don't feel bad. My Husband had to work 3 to midnight so I went to the salon for a retouch and now I'm on the board....

Hi Pumpkin, I thought I recognized these as the late Aaliyah's routine.

I have K-Pak and remember buying it ages ago after hearing it was used on Kelly from Destiny's Child. Its funny how influenced we get over what celebs use. Although in Aaliyah's case who could blame you? She was THE hair goddess /images/graemlins/notworthy.gif

Is the lanza leave-in a heat protector too?

I've used that leave in a long time ago. I really liked it (especially since it's thick, creamy and moisturizing). Those are my favorite type of leave-ins.

Now tell us. What else did you buy?!

Hey Pumpkin,

Thanks for the recommendations. I've been wanting to check out that Joico K-Pak...but I don't think my neighborhood beauty supply sells it. How often can you use it?

Hi Pumpkin! Thanks for the product recommendations. These products all sound great, definitely worth trying. The only leave in conditioner that I really know is Motions, but maybe it's time to give something else a shot. . .

So, what else didja buy? Come clean, girl! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

hey, no kidding... you said you spent $50, but that don't add up to $50 on my calculator. spill it, girl.... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can probably find the KPak in Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid or Duane Reade. I think I may have seen a couple of things there. There is also Rays where I bought it. I don't know how often you can use it but I plan on using it every 2-3 weeks because it is a protein conditioner. But it works really well. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's great Pumpkin. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thank you for the review and I'm glad that you were able to find products that will give you the health and salon look
