i was hoping to make it to september. ah, well....:ohwell:

:yay: That's great! I'd be happy if my hair grew that fast consistently!!

i feel u, im ready to take my braids down and its only been 2 weeks...i think it looks messy bcos the new growth is misbehaving :(

sorry LH!!!

im gonna go the route eboniwoman went and just saturate my hair in conditioner for the takedown...luckily, im off from work next week....so i can treat my hair real good...

im gonna go get the motions silk protein treatment dealie....

my mom was like, "im sorry, do you want me to pay to get it done before school starts??' and i was like, "you can pay ME to do it"

i dont think thats gonna fly! LOL!

:yay: you should be happy your hair is growing so fast. i dont see my braids loosing up so i know it not growing. blah

thtas why I dont bother with braids...after two weeks you cant see my parts, my braids are loose, and my hair looks "old".

I'm in the same boat, I need to make time next weekend to take mine out. I wasn't even Surging as much as I normally do and I still got a lot of newgrowth, better than no growth though...

I have cornrows that were put in July 23rd, 2005 and just two weeks later I can feel a good 1/4 in. of ng under my cornrows so far, especially the back and nape area. My new growth is coming sooooo fast. I want to keep these babies in for 4 more weeks but I don't think I'm going to make it. Going back to box braids after I touchup in September and leave those in for about 3 weeks. I don't know how some of you ladies can go 1-2 months in braids, wish I could.

back when i didnt take care of my braids or wash my hair i could go three months (thats when my hair would start to hurt...like any movement would make my scalp hurt really bad) but now that ive started washing my hair more frequently, i cant go very long without washing it....and the washing is what makes my hair matt up more in the back....i think keeping my scalp clean is also what brings in the newgrowth so quick...

its really a catch 22!
