Beautiful pics Spiced Tee. The shine is awesome, you may be inches away from your hair goal but you're getting there the good way, taking care of it every inch of the way.

Good luck

This is going to be a long post because I just returned from "vacation". I had to play some serious catcth-up with the board...I read this before I check my e-mail and it takes several hours. I need like a whole bag of sunflower seeds just to get thru!!

AnywayI want to thank each and every one that complimented me on my progress. I never thought that I could get as far as I have.

Jade21 .....I have been duting my own hair for about a year. I don't trust anyone near my hair. It gives me nightmares just thinking about someone trying to "trim" my ends...I love the Feria color, but I don't use their conditioner. To protect my color, I use Pantene Color-something-or-the other Conditioner

Crystal ....As far as my hair type, I have no clue. If I had to guess I would say 3A. I use African Pride No Lye/Regular. I have a scalp that is sensitive to lye. I relax every 8 weeks. As far as my weave was concerned, I had a sew-in weave. A little bit of my hair was left out in a horseshoe shape so that I could blend my hair and part on the right side. My stylist braided my remaining hair in a zig-zag pattern and then sewed on the tracks. I used Yaki hair. I like the Yaki consistency because it blends in very well with my relaxed hair. We only used a pack and a half of hair because it tends to look less bulky and "fake". I would get it washed, conditioned and flat-ironed every 2 weeks. I used SeaBreeze Astringent daily to clean between the rows. I then followed with my own oil concoction. I kept my weave in for 3 months.

Sweetcocoa ...you made my day by complimenting my smile!

Sylviaetc ....for the roller set I just throw in a dollop of Pantene S/S as a leave-in. This keeps the curls softer looker. If I want a tighter, longer lasting set, I use Lottabody Wrap Lotion. The set really comes out defined and shinier.

Adrienne & Peachtree ....The only reason that I flat iron after air-drying is because I have some underprocessed parts that drive me crazy. I flat-iron for a polished look. I was also on a hair pic blitz because I wanted you all to see my progress!

By the way....I put up a few more pics. I took these about a week ago. Also feel free to look at my family!!!

Love the shine in your hair. Did you use a ceramic curling iron along with the ceramic flat iron? Just bought one and want to know how they compare to regular curling irons.

Let me tell you about that shine.....I used the Aphogee treatment, and I don't know if it seals the cuticle or what, but it really gave my hair some life. On my pics, I used the flat iron closer to the root area because it straightens my new growth and helps me with some underprocessed parts. I like the ceramic curlers way better than the regular ones. They get hot quickly, and one swipe does it. On the model I have, I can control the heat, so I never burn or scorch my hair (GOD forbid!) The curls define quickly without having to go over more than once. I threw out my regular heat stylers as soon as I tried ceramic. I really hope you have good results.
