Okay gals, quick question....then is BSB a more accurate measure than BSL? Because I'm having a bit of a time trying to figure that one out...which one would be longer or would it depend on the person? Even better, which is longer on an average person? Thanks (hope this wasn't answered already)!

Nonie you are a constant source of valuable information with fantastic, kind, and clear delivery to boot. I adore your posts.

Of course body parts would be more constant/reliable than clothes you take off and put back and that are made by different manufacturers with some straps being bigger and others smaller. I am guessing from your question, you have never seen a woman with an ill-fitted bra that rides up close to her neck about APL level while her tatas head southward to make acquaintance with her navel. Oldies can tell you of such pics having been posted on the forum to show BSL or close proximity to it.

And erhmm..."which is longer on an average person" depends on a lot of factors. Whether we're talking about shoulder blades or bra positions or whatever, since human beings come in all shapes and sizes and proportions, and what you consider average may not be so to another. And I would not be surprised if two people of the same size had different size shoulder blades, so that BSB on one was further down than on the other.

In the end, I don't think it should matter what each of these means to anyone but yourself. If your hair is at APL today and then down the road it is at BSB or approaching it, then you know it has grown longer. This should be about you making progress not about whether you did what another did in the time s/he did.

For a visual why the bra strap isn't a good or accurate guage if you want to monitor how well your hair is doing, here you go:
