I have a question about my hair...

So I've only posted a couple times, but I have always been meaning to ask this question. I consider my hair to be 3c/4a.. When I have gel in it, it's very defined and curly but if I don't have product in it, its only a little wavy on top, frizzy curls in the back, but REALLY frizzy everywhere else.. Does this mean my hair is not what I think it is????

Any hair type can be frizzy when dry, so just describing what your hair does under different circumstances would not enable us to know what type you have. A picture speaks volumes, though.

Should I post a picture of wet or dry hair? Thanks for your reply.

Both and of bare unmanipulated hair. You can also add pics of hair with product (like applied when wet and left unmanipulated) and you can add one of your hair combed out if you like. Sometimes seeing the many "faces" of your hair gives a better picture. Also take the picture in good natural light rather than using a flash.

yeah, like nonie said, hair type has NOTHING to do with all that. people forget that hair type is simply a measurement of the diameter of your curls. i'm 3c/4a and i got silky parts on the sides, coarse/dry parts at the crown, and everything in between. then there are 3c/4a chicas on this board who have nothing but silky hair, a few who have really THICK strands that almost look strictly type 4, and more.

Hello Everyone: I am new to this forum and I have not yet figured out how to commence a new post. I will try to piggy-back off of this post to ask my question.

Can you tell me my hair type?

I will attach pics of my hair freshly washed, wet, and damp with no products. Thanks in advance.
