Im talking about this elasta QP DPR11:wallbash: I just finished deep conditioning with it and my hair is hard dry brittle hair falling out!!! I should have known because when i was in the shower rinsing it out I couldnt comb through:shocked: so i decided to not drag my poor shower comb through this hair mess so i put my leave in as usual and decide to airdry when i put my fingers through my hair dry broken strands and Im soo sad:sad: because for the past couple of days i was sooo happy with my hair thanks to tiffers advice and my hair was feeling so healthy and strong and NOW.....:cry3:i heard so many ppl raving about this stuff WHYYYYY??????????:whyme:

I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know what kind of product this is so I don't have any advice. I'm sure other women will be posting soon to help you out. Good luck.

thnx sandyrabbit its just u hear ppl raving abt stuff and u try it and u get dissapointd

Awww, I sawwy  :bighug: I'm sure someone will come through and tell you how to fix it!

I am also curious to know what kind of product this is.

i had this conditioner but the ladies on here said it gave hard hair so i gave it away before i even used it.

I diidnt even did a search before i used this product I was in athread and everyone kept going on about how they loved it so I just went out and bought it SILLY ME oh well I'll learn from my mistake NEVER AGAIN

If you have any Redkin All soft, you may want to apply that and let it sit on your hair for a few minutes. It may soften your hair up.

I had this same problem the very first time that I used this product. I am not sure what it is but it eft my hair feeling very weird, hard and not moisturized at all. I could not comb through my hair at all. So I grabbed my conditioner that has dimethicone (Herbal Essences long term relationship) slathered it on, left it on for about three minutes and then rinsed and combed out my hair. I don't know what happened. All I can say is that at the time I was 8 weeks posts and had a lot of NG. I dont think Elasta QP DPR 11 was up to the task tho. I just use it as a leave in or to moisturize my hair before I braid it up. Thats it. I will probably not re-purchase

Try Pantene R&N mask. I know some ladies have had difficulty finding it but I see it everywhere. Redken Butter Treat is the BEST HANDS DOWN though.

I'm not a big fan of Pantene... but hm maybe I'll check out the Redken Butter Treat.. it's more easily accessible... Thanks!

Okay, hun. I sent you a PM. I agree with the super moisturizing conditioner suggestion. Basically I said that if I were you, I'd co-wash w/ Aussie Moist, then follow up with a moisture only DC like Pantene R & N mask for like 45 mins. I'd also use moisture only products and co-wash daily til it got back to normal. Inspect those ingredients on the Elasta stuff and try to see if you can figure out which ones don't agree with your hair. Then you'll know what def not to try again. HTH!

I didnt even realise it had petroleum!! i was looking at this website today they do look :lick:

Yep... it's a post somewhere here under ELASTA DPR-11 (if you put it in the search bar).... I was so hurt, because SOMETIMES a can get away with using a product with SLS... and *sometimes* I can use a product with mineral oil... but my hair does NOT play when it comes to petroleum

Im reading these backdated threads about this product and i saw ure post oh how I waish i saw this before:sad:

My hair also hated...and I mean HATED Elasta DPR-11. It left my hair a hot mess :nono:.

I second the other suggestions for you to try the Redken Butter Treat. I just deep conditioned with Butter Treat yesterday and this morning my hair was the softest it has been in a long time (and soft hair is rare for me).

Good Luck!

Dont feel bad...the minute that I broke down and bought this the next day I was reading a thread about how many ladies did NOT like Elasta QP-DPR11 all for the very same reasons that I mentioned (thanks for nothing...all late!!!)

I was checking this out yesterday cos I was on KISS and traycee was using this on her hair it looks good so I might have to try and buy this ASAP:yep:

Sorry many of you feel this way about Elasta QP DPR-11:look:. I have it and I've used it and I like it. I mix it with Mizani conditioner (because I have so many) and my hair is soft afterwards. I don't use it that often because I have so many conditioners. I have kinki twists, now and I'm trying to use my Neutrogena Triple Moisture (I like), my Kera Care, my Mizani and my CON condtioners.

Oh yeah, I like the mango butter by Elasta QP, also.
