I HATE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

Im talking about this elasta QP DPR11:wallbash: I just finished deep conditioning with it and my hair is hard dry brittle hair falling out!!! I should have known because when i was in the shower rinsing it out I couldnt comb through:shocked: so i decided to not drag my poor shower comb through this hair mess so i put my leave in as usual and decide to airdry when i put my fingers through my hair dry broken strands and Im soo sad:sad: because for the past couple of days i was sooo happy with my hair thanks to tiffers advice and my hair was feeling so healthy and strong and NOW.....:cry3:i heard so many ppl raving about this stuff WHYYYYY??????????:whyme:

I tried Elasta QP's Mango Butter Moisturizer because a woman who has very beautiful and long relaxed 4b hair uses it, and it works very well for her and I thought it would work well for me as well, but my hair hated it. It felt really weighed and a lot like straw. It also didn't swing and feel soft like it normally does. Overall I think our experiences are testimonies that what's good for some may not be good for all. I'm going to keep a product review notebook so that I remember which products my hair likes and which ones my hair doesn't like, how about you?

P.S. I just remembered that I have tried and still have Elasta QP DPR-11 Deep Penetrating Remoisturizer, and my hair hated it! It was super thick and didn't spread well and it didn't leave my hair moisturized at all. I guess my hair just doesn't like Elasta QP that much. Maybe it would work better as a pre-poo. Some people use conditioners that their hair doesn't respond well to as pre-poos so they can use it all up.

I was checking this out yesterday cos I was on KISS and traycee was using this on her hair it looks good so I might have to try and buy this ASAP:yep:

I think you will really like the Butter Treat. I have used it a couple of times as a deep conditioner and I have been really pleased with the results. The good thing about this conditioner is that you can also use it as a leave-in. When I DC'd yesterday I sealed with a little coconut oil, sat under the dryer for about 20 minutes with a plastic cap, rinsed and used a little as a leave in and roller set with a little serum. My hair was very happy.

My PJism got the best of me so I tried the new Redken Line called Real Control (I used the moisture conditioning mask) and my hair did not like this nearly as much as the Butter Treat.

Muffin: my hair also HATED the QP Mango Butter. I used it a couple of time trying to convince my hair to like it since so many others had such good results but it finally got to the point where my hair felt like a stack of hay and it was time for the Mango Butter to meet the garbage can.

I tried the DPR-11 and Mango butter - my hair doesn't like either one. The DPR left it kinda hard, the mango butter took away all my swang and left me high and dry. I'm staying away from all Elasta products now.

Man, Elasta QP really did us in, didn't they ladies :nono:? Sometimes I really wish my hair liked most products. I feel that I have to be really careful with what I use because my hair is really sensitive to product changes. Most of my products have to contain a good amount of natural ingredients or else my hair feels like ish. Does anyone else's hair act the same way?Once I started using my natural DC and using my leave-in that I got from Whole Foods my hair felt world's better :drunk:.

Sorry many of you feel this way about Elasta QP DPR-11:look:. I have it and I've used it and I like it. I mix it with Mizani conditioner (because I have so many) and my hair is soft afterwards. I don't use it that often because I have so many conditioners. I have kinki twists, now and I'm trying to use my Neutrogena Triple Moisture (I like), my Kera Care, my Mizani and my CON condtioners.

Oh yeah, I like the mango butter by Elasta QP, also.

It's true that not every product will work for everyone. *sigh*

I like Elasta QP-DPR, too. But, I always add olive oil and honey to it before I deep condition for 45 mins. to an hour. Sometimes I'll add another conditioner to it (like Suave Humectant). It leaves my hair really soft and tangle free.

I even like the mango butter. It makes my hair incredibly soft, but too soft for twist outs.

Co-sign on this entire post.

The mango butter is my staple moisturizer, and Intense is my staple leave-in.

My hair loves Elasta QP products.

I bought a big ole jar of this a couple of months ago and i absolutely hate it too. It gave absolutely no slip and left my hair a dry tangled mess :nono:. I never thought a conditioner could be too thick but this one actually is.

In an effort to use it up I have been pre pooing with it on dry hair. its actually pretty good this way but this stuff should never, ever touch anyones wet hair.

Uhhhhh..................can I have it? :look:

The first time I used DPR11 I used it straight and it left my hair crunchy. I tried it again and the same thing happened. I left the rest in my bathroom and forgot about it. A few months ago I decided to use it and added some EVCO and DC'd under my hooded dryer. My hair felt really good afterwards, this formula had petroleum in it. When I heard that the formula had changed this year I went out and bought whatever I could find and found the last formula with petroleum very low down on the list of ingredients. This conditioner is great when combined with different oils, EVCO, EVOO, Argan Oil and Macadamia Oil. Whichever oil I use I always add a few drops of Argan Oil.
