I had a friend whose hair broke off really badly..

because a stylist left some relaxer in her hair. Her hair grew back and past her shoulders and when I asked her what she did to grow it back she simply stated that she had people pray over it. Isn't that the most amazing thing you've ever heard? Come on my Christian ladies, anyone prayed for their hair to be healthy and long???? Come onnnnn..... /images/graemlins/angel.gif

Leisha, I wouldn't go as far to have ladies pray directly over it, but it's on my prayer list also some nights. I still feel a little guilty praying for hair when God's busy dealing with more stressing matters around the world. But someone pointed out to me that god doesn't mind "giving treats" to his children so I feel a lot moe comfortable in praying for healthier, longer hair now. /images/graemlins/angel.gif

A friend told me about a salon that does exactly that with their clients and a lot of their clients are long hair success stories. I say that I'm going to pray about my hair, but rarely do. I think I'll start though. Anyone want a prayer buddy I can pray for your hair you can pray for mine! /images/graemlins/angel.gif

I'm a Christian and i would like prayer as well...i must admit this is not one of the things that I usually pray for, although it does make sense. Anybody else who wants prayer, I'm here for you.

It was suggested to me to do this for my baby when she was 2 because the poor thing was bald. I was told to get some prayer oil and rub it on her scalp and pray. My baby now has a head full of thick 4a hair. /images/graemlins/babyg.gif

I felt guilty at first, but I pray for healthy bra-strap length hair every night for the past three months. I also pray for a body like Janet's, so we'll see what God can do for me.

LMAO!!! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
While I know it makes sense to do this, something in me would feel really bad if I did. *shrug* So I've never tried it. I've thought about it though and I'm sure God hears me so that will have to do for me.

Ladies, praying for your hair! and why not, prayer is good, pray for everything, your health, your strength, your looks, money and your hair. She will grant you your wish. These Indian oils, like Amla etc, those people pray over their oils, for the goodness, don't feel that there are more important things to think about, you are important and your hair too. So you continue prayer and you will be granted what you want. /images/graemlins/user.gif /images/graemlins/angel.gif Being beautiful, makes us happy and doing everything to be beautiful, is a good thing, after all we are pleasing the Goddess, because we are loving our bodies, once you learn to love yourself only truly you can love the Goddess. Please don't feel ashamed and guilty.

Yes yes y'all Nai Nai is one crazy moo!!! /images/graemlins/weird.gif

My real name is Naomi, my ultimate aim is waist length, and I am a hairaholic.

I can't remember the poster's name but what is prayer oil?

You guys, I'm so relieved...I didn't want to think that Korea was driving me absolutely bonkers. I've got a prayer list, and sure enough, at the verrrryyy bottom is my "mini-list" regarding all my physical needs. I'll be sure to add the ladies here as well. Thanks for being so honest, after all, prayer works! /images/graemlins/up.gif

Sorry Valerie, I don't know if I understood your post fully. Who exactly is the goddess you are referring to in your post. Are you talking from a christian perspective or another religion?

Londondiva, I'm soon going to start dancing with your little image in your signature. How do you guys put stuff in there like that? ::whines:: I want somethinggggggg..

I've bumped up the link for you in the off topic section. It's entitled "how do I put a picture on". HTH /images/graemlins/weird.gif

Crys,

We are twins! Just this am while praying I told the Lord that I was cursing the fat and claiming the lean! I even asked Him to destroy every unnecessary calorie /images/graemlins/swordfight.gif /images/graemlins/hammer.gif and to increase my metabolism so that I could lose weight without having to do as much exercising.

I also started praying for my hair last fall and I do believe that is when He directed me to the LHCF so Hallelujah! (and I am serious) /images/graemlins/angel.gif

Thanks Peb, I'll try to figure it out. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well ladies I started saying my prayers last night for ALL the members on the board whilst I was washing my hair in the shower. I talked them out loud so I know he heard me. If I'm alone I talk to God out loud walking around my house doing the housework. I swear the neighbours must be wondering who I'm talking too /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Girrrrlll, I talk to myself EVERYWHERE. I've got two kids therefore NO dignity and have pretty much resorted to being a "crackpot" to its fullest..
Thank you for the prayers, I always, always LOVE it when people pray for me. Actually, I started praying for everyone who mentioned something in this thread a couple days ago! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well,

I believe her but I'm sure that her faith added to the prayers being reward. I definately believe in the power of prayer.

I hear ya..I'm all about praying for rain and then carrying an umbrella... /images/graemlins/angel.gif

So true. It helps if you have faith, just prayer alone is not going to do anything. I know I gotta put my work in and then God will deliver in due time.
