I got some good advice from a southern stylist

I had to call one of my girls in Tennessee because I can't figure out for the life of me what to do about my dry/frizzy ends after getting a trim. She told me to get a hard brissle brush with natural and boar brissles mixed and soak for 48hours in hot water. Then brush my hair once a week to move the oils around to my ends and see what happens. She also told me to clarify once a month for two months to see what results I get. She said I might be stripping the oils from my hair by clarifying too often. Oh one more thing she told me, to put straight mayonnaise on my ends before I apply my deep condishioner and sit under the dryer for 30-45 mins.

Wow, I can't believe she took time out of her busy schedule to consult with me. Now I know why I love visiting the south eventhough I'm not from there, most people I met there are really nice and friendly, unlike some of the folks in the midwest:lol:

Very interesting. I have a 100% boar bristle brush that I use every 3-4 days on my ends after I use Profectiv's healthy ends. They are starting to look better, and I think bunning helps too.

I used that product and it was too heavy for my ends, made them look really stringy and greasy

I wish I could bun, but I am only chin length:lol:

You just made this Southern Belle smile. :) I totally love the South and the Mid south. (Tenn.) Glad this is working for you.

Same here. My ends once looked like hay..literally..they were light from highlighting and frizzy. Bunning with a good application of coconut oil turned them around.

I totlly agree on the bold text. I ended up giving all this stuff away.

I love healthy ends!!! I use it almost every day and my hair is retaining more length. I bun my hair or french roll it after I apply a very small amount to the ends. When I take my hair down my ends are still moist while the rest of my hair is dry.
