you can get the supplies on the internet. the cheapest keratin i found was at http://www.drlocks.net/fusion.htm

you can get pliars and a glue pot in a craft store. also, i know we dont need licenses to buy the hair! lol, but thats all that i used

If you don't do this professionally, you should. Get Beyonce and Brandy's wig straight for starters...Oops, did I say that?

It looks wonderful. I would love to try this technique but I'm afraid of what it would do to my hair. How do you take care of the fused section? Can you still relax your hair?

yes, you can still rexax/dye your hair with the usion. you just make sure you moisturize your hair and you should be fine. your hair is out still so its easier than any other weave/braid style to moisturize IMO

lol @ nicki

Thanks for the info weaveitup! I'm going to try it out on a mannequin first though before touching my own hair.

Did you just get the starter kit? And did you try the pre-bonded hair or just bulk hair?

i hear the prebonded hair doesnt last as long and irs twice as expensive. i didnt use a starter kit, they are averpriced IMO, i spent less buying the supplies i needed individually

i washed my fusion on tuesda and it came out nice! i was still able to flat iron and curl and do all the stuff i normally do after washing!

i think i would charge $70 for the fusion. its still ALOT cheaper of a price than companies and stylist will charge. and it is alot of work.

How long did it take? Do you have to remove the weave? What happens if you don't take it out? You did an awesome job, your hair looks nice!

it took about 4-5 hrs. im sure if you dont remove the weave as time goes on they will either loosen from the hiar slowly with all the manipulation and gradually come out. also, your hair will continue to grow and i personally wouldnt want black balls of keratin midway through my hair shaft. it would be totally obvious i had a weave if the bonds were that low

Is there a special kind of hair you should buy? I saw the picture of the hair you used, but I was wondering does it matter?

not really. but you want it to be a good quality human hair that will last as long as the keratin bonds so you dont have to take it out prematurely. alot of people use indian remi hair which is said to last around a year, but its also very expensive in comparison to BSS hair
